Sounds like I missed a good one, I was supposed to be working but ended up with a 24hr stomach bug ( with thanks to my son ), so spent the best part of the day either in the bathroom or in bed.

Oh well what a way to have spent my 30th birthday guess I won't forget it !!!

The speed limit was 50 Mph and that is what I was doing!!

As for The Chief and Gillip95, you were just starting off from the lights and I was again in clear lane doing speed limit.

The road in question is well know for having plod just waiting over the brow near the motorway so wouldn't speed. My licence is clean and I intend keeping it that way. (touch wood)

Hi all, gutted I didnt make it last night
i probably wont have my car for the next one as some of you know, i'm shortly handing her over to her new owners. A replacement hasnt been found just yet...............but it doesnt look like its going to be a P1.........or a scoob
maybe I could unveil my new car at the next meet, although I may get pelted with eggs

Just collected my car from the garage and phew no damage to it apart from cosmetically to the wheel after yesterdays slippery incident. Not sure whether it will be possible to repair the wheel or not but anyway, thats not a major problem for now.

Looks loads better with the springs fitted, no more gaping wheel arches! A trip up to the lakes beckons this weekend to give it a proper drive now the running in period is over.

Chris, after a lot of research and chatting to a nice chap at Prosport we are very reluctant to buy a P1. Due to the fact that almost all of them have either had or will require an engine re-build at some stage in their life. I dont think I am quite game to take that gamble, as if i were to follow my heart and buy my dream car, it would drain all of my resources, if the engine was to go pop, i simply could not afford to have it re-built I have looked at other options, but these are just not in my price range. I'm gutted myself, and am feeling quite down over it. I could just keep mine, but as you know Ive been offered an good price for it, and i wouldnt get offered that again in a hurry!

Looks like you've got your head to rule your heart jak, which is no bad thing if you're not minted. The P1 is a gorgeous car, but I, like you, can't afford to buy something that comes with such a risk attatched to it. If you were looking at that price range, surely you can pick up a v.nice my02 sti for that sort of money? Maybe not quite what you were after, but just imagine having the only pink one in the country
Whatever car you get jak, your more than welcome to come out with the SMACS anytime you like, see you soon.

chris.

Glad to hear there's no damage graham, have you seen the my05 sti wheels for sale in general, would set your car off a treat So, have you had prodrive springs fitted then? I'm thinking of having dais old ones when I go and get my knocking suspension fitted.
hopefully see you week after next for the snake run m8, or may pop over one evening next week as I'm off work till friday
