The 'if we had him, him and him argument we would be above United' doesn't really mean anything.

For example, if United had Lampard, Gerrard, Alonso and Robben they would be top of the league.

It's liverpools fault they have bought bad forwards. they will probably finish third because although they are better than United at present United don't have to play them every week.

No mention of Fletcher Even that midfield couldn't make up for the short comings of Uniteds defence.

Likewise Uniteds bad decision for getting shut of Keane............... I heard no complaints of Crouch's conibution as a striker on Saturday though.

Possibly. Although it's hardly like Liverpool are having to make a 12 point gap up on United.

In all seriousness though I used to be in awe of the United team. Hate to admit it buts it is true. Even at 3-0 down there was alawys that chance that they could still beat you (Spurs..............). I couldn't say the same thing about the current Chelsea team! Perhaps they will buy some decent players in the summer but it will take them a few years to get back to where they were.

Where do you stand with Ferguson.............time to go?

I think Ferguson has earned the right to decide when it's time to go.

He has given us so many great times over the best part of 20 years and it will be sad to see him go.

It's not the fact that we are an average side that bothers me to be honest. It's when Fergie says things like the squad we have now is better than the treble one.
