Same situation in mainland Spain. What was once a peaceful estate inthe middle of nowhere where we are based, suddenly has 3 huge devolpment springing up.

Funny things is, being Valencia, and their idiocy over building and planning, most have no planning permission. So when these estates started springing up, the locals played up and went mental when they tried to connect up to the existing local water and elctricity (both which are over-stretched).

Conseqently the streams of ex-pats that have bought and moved into these ticky tacky little boxes on the hillside without doing their homework, have to rely on water bowsers and generators

Yes but you cant replace 200,000 miles of water main in just a few years. It takes decades. What I'm saying is that before privatisation there were hardly any mains replaced at all.
