Hi Guys and girls, a couple of things:
1) Who's up for meeting the smacs lads on their patch, 1st thursday of march, evening obviously.......?
2) Do you think that the SSC convoy should use the carpark opposite the grass area at the bubble, sort of make it "our" space and I'll get a banner made up for then. It was the carpark that wasn't used at last meet, turning right at the entrance instead of driving onto the grass.
Just a thought.............!
Si.
SMACS MEET:
1) Skoosh
2) Danny2

Can you let me know if you are wanting to do this, i had to turn into parking attendant last weekend so knowing were iv'e got to allocate space for would be handy.
Also need to sort things out with the landlord so as he knows what room we need.
The Midland Scoobies gang don't mind you parking on the field with us, honest

I know when i first got my beast, nearly 3yrs ago, the 1st meet i went to was at Eaton Farm in Long Eaton, this was attended by about 20 or so cars, then as the months went on and havng then made lots of very good friends in Chesterfield who also decided to come, so even more people showed up including you guys again so we then needed another larger meeting point, which was on accasion the Red lion.
Im not saying don't have a banner made or displayed, far from it, as it events like the NBO and MBO when its all sorted needs the help of individual groups to show just how many there are in the midlands, and will also look the dogs danglies on the pic's people take

But when Dave and the team decided to set up Midland scoobies, they decided Shardlow was the place to meet, but yet again with all the new owners and with the website taking off a bigger venue was required, which only goes to prove that the website is working (Well done Dave & team)
This is, well as i see it a meeting for all Subaru owners in the Midlands, surely its not going to be a them and us thingy, with Beeston lot over there, Long Eaton lot there, Chessy lot there and you guys in the car park ? the banner MIDLAND SCOOBIES says what it says the whole of the Midlands, which is a huge place.
Dazza, the thought of an "us and them" hadn't entered my head to be honest and I'm surprised it's been misinterpreted as that. Dave has and is doing a great job with midlands scoobies and is to be applauded.
The reason for the banner mention was to show our identity as SSC - Staffs Scooby Crew, and possibly draw attention to our website, albeit in it's infancy, which may, one day, become affiliated with midlands scoobies.
Arranging for 38 scoobs to convoy to Derby from Stoke took many hours of organising and typing
and I thought that seeing as we probably manage an 80-90 mile trip on a monthly basis, a banner would be a good visual show of commitment to midlands scoobies and the subaru community as a whole. However, if showing off an SSC banner is seen to be a little disrespectful to midlands scoobies then I apologise as this was not the intention, as outlined above.
Perhaps I'll get one made for when you lot convoy over to us in Staffs.
We all thoroughly enjoy the trips over to Derby and were astonished at the turnout at Feb's meet.
Dave should feel extremely proud of his accomplishments in such a short space of time, as do I of the SSC, it is a pleasure to attend your' meets and look forward to many more.
C ya at March's meet and I'll buy you a pint .

Si, thats only how i saw it sir, others may have different views on it.
But credit where credits due, it does take some orginising and a take my hat off to you, and perhaps if you and Dave get your heads togther maybe 1 month we could visit you guys
if you can find somewhere to house us rabble that is
But it wasn't intended as a derogitory way, and i apologise if it came across that way, after all we are all about the same thing, that daft jap pocket rocket which costs a furtune to run, maintaine and insure

i can see where dazza was coming from in a way if u park over in the other carpark to other people it would look like us and u instead of one big happy family
