I never remember this country being in such a sorry state when I was younger growing up in the 80s.
Seems more people are in debt than ever before and the country is in a state with nothing to be very proud about anymore. Our streets covered in litter and roads unsafe to drive on and a few big companies getting bigger.
At least if getting harder to smoke and maybe they'll be a fatty food tax but unless someone comes up with a plan for the NHS we'll all be skint paying to keep eachother alive. Lunacy.
Personally I think Labours time is over but with all the parties huddled arouynd the centre ground and a lack of obvious policies who the hell do you vote for to get these Labour muppets out.

OH the main reasons I don;t like them as all the laws being passed in ther name of anti -terrorism that are passedwhen nobody will notice them.
At this rate we'll be having our crap screened for anything undesirable in a few years. Its all getting far too big brother no wonder some people are going off the rails. Treat people like crap and thats how they will behave !

We have always had the moaners, those that want the government to 'magic' a new house, car and high paid job for them - without any effort on their part!
I have always believed in cutting your own furrow whilst others wait for it to drop in their laps!!
Whatever Government is in power, there are opportunities ... those that just complain rather than grasp them are the sad losers of the world - I don't give a pigs tit what they think about the current party in power because they would cry and blubber and whinge and bleet whoever it was!!!!

Not Rambling ......
Why do you want the Government to make your life cozy and easy ..... when you should be doing that yourself??
And if you are doing it yourself .... stop moaning and get on with it!
Dear God ... in my day there wasn't all this crying

How high did interest rates go when Callaghan was in charge PSL, that time when the IMF refused to support this country's national debt?
What was it he said when he returned from an overseas trip just after that? "Crisis, what crisis?" was all he could thing of to say as he got off the 'plane!

I seem to remember the Tories throwing away £££££BILLIONS of taxpayers money trying to support the £!!
Never, in history, was so much money wasted by so few which was given by so many!!
Those hospitals that could have been built, those schools those old peoples homes .............. all squandered ...
The TORIES were, and still are, incapable of managing a Scout Groups Finances

Why do people continue to reply to this b0llox?
Surely we've learnt by now that the
'labour is great' , 'MX5's are great' , 'Gold wheels are gay' , 'average wage is 38k'
are all intended purely to get a reaction for the entertainment of this sado??
Dont reply to his dribble and he'll get bored!
He's already been made to look a t1t on countless occasions, proved he was lying about his age and been made to look a fool everytime he tried to prove his scientific knowledge!
I actually feel sorry for the fella!

As for old peoples homes. Where have they all gone then Pete. Theyve closed so many that the elderly are now clogging up the hospitals by taking up beds.
Why then are more than 50 trusts in England facing major deficits - and the prospect of devastating cuts? Why are important community hospitals being threatened with closure?

Ah another quality Pissy Lewis post,
given your advanced years I think it's good you have some savings, you must be drawing your state pension by now?
Just a couple of points and excuse me if they have been covered as frankly i couldn't be arsed to read all your posts,
Firstly, the claim of record police numbers- This is because the government counts PCSO's in their figures, if you bother to look into in instead of quoting headlines, and when I last checked they didn't have the power to issue a traffic ticket, their value??
Secondly, increasing pressure from the Home office for Police to manipulate crime figures, to show supposed lower crime is well documented, again if you bother to research it and move away from the official labour website!
And finally, and probably most ammusing, the fact that labour has banned hand gun's, perhaps someone should tell the record number of criminal's who carry them!!

The true average is nearer bankruptcy for the average UK family.
"I told you we were all better off under Labour" - said a Mr Bliar at the recent Labour UK PLC shareholders meeting in the Cayman Islands.......

I did not think that you would be able to answer that one PSL. We need to remember which party it was which ruined this country's financial position in the first place and which one it was who got it all back to an even keel in spite of a world recession and which was then inherited by NL. They then did nothing more than hand control of interest rates to the Bank!
Mind you, they are doing their best to throw it all away again with the immense over beaurocracy and hidden unemployment which the rest of us are paying for with all the stealth taxes and more to come of course!
Paulr, you keep sticking your nose in and failing miserably. I should give it a rest until you think of something relevant to say!

PSL, what about dentists? Blair said in 2000 that in 5 years everyone would have access to an NHS dentist, last I heard 18,000 of the 20,000 remaining dentists were about to leave the NHS because of the new government contracts.
If you admit Labour are in the wrong on this one, you would look a bit less biased and slightly more credible.

You obviously mis-read the post, easy to do in your (pretend) old age...
Wasnt replying to the topic at all, was mearly pointing out the fact all of you threads are purely there to get a rise out of people rather than contribute anything interesting.
I'll compete your phrase, I AM A **** AND YOU ARE THE FANNY!

Dentists have now experienced the fact that a lot of money can be made by going private .... just what the Tories would agree with, by the way!!
