Rave review, HTID 13, "Skool Of Hardcore" 27/1/06
#153
funnily enough I am actually a big believer in PLUR, however that goes out the window when people start insulting my friends.
Having just looked through all the comments left by exscooby "The voice of reason" and people purporting to be me in the choons.net gallery, I was left feeling quite angry that someone could be so nasty to people who are good friends of mine based on nothing else than their external appearence and regardless of what sort of people they actually are.

Surely you must've expected some adverse comments? SN isn't known for it's tact and diplomacy.

Good review, but I do get the feeling that it is a bit wasted on Scoobynet.
As an ex-"raver", I can see the interest in these events, but time moves on, music changes, people get older........time to change me thinks.
Don't get me wrong, I still pop to the odd "Retro" type event, but I don't pretend that it's anything like it used to be "back in the day". I'm older, my mates are older......we've grown up and moved on.
Right.....where's my Vicks??
If you want to see a proper "dance" event.....check THIS *****!!! and THIS

They are without a doubt the best looking raves I've seen. No chavs anywhere to be seen, and just look at the birds!! NOTHING like the degenerates seen on helter skelter videos e.t.c.
I'm even looking into going to one for the weekend, looks FANTASTIC. I think they're speaking dutch but the website looks like it's in Belgium, do you know??

It's held at Ethias Arena, Hasselt, Belgium.
I think the 2006 line-up included Yves Deruyter, Kai Tracid, Scott Project, DJ Pavo, Dana, Furamx, The Prophet, DJ Zany, Luna & Technoboy.
BIG BUCKS PRODUCTION AND PROMOTION!!!
"Hardstyle" obviously!! MORE HERE
Rather a smart and well put together website I think. Reminds me of "Stargate SG1". If you haven't sussed it already......use the map to show you where to put the "tiles" and it unlocks in a Stargate styleeeeeeeee.
I'm not really into the genre of music, but the event looks absolutely awesome!
25,000 people......loads of fit as f*ck birds, etc, etc.
I know the videos are edited and are bound to show the best of the night, but it does appear to be relatively chav free (do they have chavs in Belgium?)
I've been to 6,000+ people events and DJ'ed at 2,500+, but NOTHING like the Qlimax event. Too old for it now I think.......I'm usually ready for bed by 3am.
Do a Google Pics search for "Qlimax" and you get some good pics, although.......I did spot one or two folks that were........erm......."worse for wear". LOL
Here....I'll save you some typing: http://images.google.co.uk/images?sv...ax&btnG=Search

^^ Sweet cheers mate, I was looking into all of this last night. They do a dutch one too (the Belgian one was last Sat), which is at Arnheim at the Gerderdome which looks awsome.
Ryanir do flights Sat to Mon for 43 quid return so I reckon you could go to this event for just slightly more than a big night in London. I'm rounding mates up as we speak lol!! Trouble is they don't seem to have a calendar and the only ones I can see they have had are Feb and Nov. I think going in the summer for this is in order.
Cheers for the heads up! Music isn't too much of an issue for me, I don't mind hard dutch techno or whatever that is, normally to ****** to care

Of course the chances of meeting people on the same wavelength as you are greatly increased when you go to these things, but thats just a bonus. The reason I go is cos the music moves me and I want to move to the music. Nothing more.

Just imagine the burglar alarm, the house alarm, a smoke detector, the bedside alarm clock, and a claustrophobic epilectic throwing a seizure with hammers stapped to his hands inside a 56gallon steel drum, while the council are digging the road up outside, all at the same time, and you will be somewhere close, to hardcore music
