Some people hardly know us and you're talking about getting a room???!!!!
Maybe we should have a few hardcore members round to mine for a discussion on the years events. Let me know what you think by email.

Yes I got it yesterday lunchtime Andy.
Unfortunately Ive not had alot of time to drive it yet (only covered about 100 miles so no danger of beating steelx's driving in record!).
It feels great being back in a scoob again, to say Im pleased is an understatement. People must think theres something wrong with me 'cos I keep grinning randomly while Im driving around.
If I can get 1000 miles done and get it serviced before Wales then I should be able to make that run, otherwise it will have to be something later (Im strictly obeying a 4000 rpm limit at the moment which is just enough to have a little fun but not enough to keep up with you lot!!!!).

No pete its completely standard. As I did with my first one, I want to drive it for a good few thousand miles before I get it PPP'd (while I save up!!).

Running engines in is such an ambiguous subject that, IMHO, the only sensible thing to do is what the dealer tells you!

I agree pete, and because of this I specifically asked the dealer what to do whilst running in and he actually surprised me a little. The advice was not to redline it until after 1000 miles but that it was ok to drive "normally" before then. I think a period of driving without booting it too hard is basically the recommendation, although Ive always driven cars in gradually so wont be going over 4000 rpm until ive got a few hundred miles on the clock.

Alternatively, lend me you're car, and i'll get 1000 in this week just at work, including a day working at home today!
