Cool

I'll more than likely be there as well. Although I'll be in an Evo 6. Only thing that will stop me is fuel. The Evo needs a constant drip from a petrol tanker, so if the selfish farmers, who are only interested in themselves, decide to blockade anything resembling a petrol outlet then I'm stuffed. (nearly went into full on rant mode there...I need a lie down)

Will there be ANY Scoobies there????

Town & County, where i work, has done a sponsorship deal with knockhill. So i'm on the guest list for Sunday.
The last Hot Marques was very quiet so lots of track time (in my old gti-r).
First track day in my new impreza, canny wait!!

David
i will there on Sunday if the weather is OK. I am trying to do some more testing with the new map. Alan G is going to be bringing a Video camera and hopefully we will be able to take some inside/outside the car footage.

how is you car running? do you think although you have considerably less power than the GTI-R you would still lab knock hill quicker ? what sort of lab times were you doing with the GTI-R ?

So were going for the 10th, everyone make it??

A good meeting place would be the rear of Virgin Cinema (sort of overflow carpark)on the Kingsway in Dundee.

I'll be fitting a new kitchen that weekend

In the past, we've always tried to avoid December for events, as it proves impossible to agree on dates that everyone can attend due to Xmas parties, shopping etc.

We do have an event planned for Perth at the end of January as well, which I can attend

Hi Martin, mines was the white gti-r,I was at a few SIDC/knockhill meets this year with it.
No amount of fuel system upgrades & octane booster could stop it melting pistons, so i was rebuilding it every 3 months.
Not sad to see the back of it!!

Glad the dates been moved to December, hopefully my scooby will be fixed by then, lost first gear somehow!
might have something to do with Crails 1/4 mile! I think I also came up against your gti-r Dave,I was left slighty behind but managed a 13.6sec,not bad for a standard car.

Yep, it had the HKS forged 1mm oversize alloy pistons & 2mm metal head gasket, which cost me about a grand & lasted 4 months. It also had a huge roller bearing hybrid turbo on it (another grand!!).i had the pistons welded up & machined on its last rebuild, even rubbed down the metal head gasket & re used it.Ran fine, no piston slap,he,he!!
Pity it was cremated in the fire @ Sportscar Services, I was looking forward to beating it @ Crail in my scooby.
BTW ran a 12.81ET @ 15psi with my scoob,my mate beat me with a 12.80ET in his gtir which I had just boosted up for him.borrocks!!

Need to get the cossie back on crail soon - clutch, gearbox and diff are about to die big style so what better way!
Big bus ran 14.07 as a 14psi stage 1 which turned out to have 9 bent valves!. Done all the work and now it is "slightly" more powerful so would be good to do a few runs.
Martin
Ps - Need to beat you 2 !!!!!
