Its happened, crashed my wrx, handles like a bus!

I think i few replies on here were possibly because you are trying to imply it is because of the car instead of your driving.

lucky for you the driver of the "dog **** 306" doesn't insist on going through your insurance and then taking you to court for injuries etc.
love to hear the other side of the story
bet it goes something like this... "this ****ing chav driving like a ******"

He's probably already at the dealer buying a new car - quite possibly a Scooby because they do so well in the twisties as he;s read it on this forum and..... oh hang on. I hit one in the twisties last night and when my car went round the bend, the scooby didn't... ah......
Or maybe he's waking up this morning with a very sore neck thinking he needs to take the day off work and go to hospital and perhaps he should sue the guy who hit him as the cops gave him a caution....
who knows eh?

I crashed my mk1 escort when Iwas 18. Hit a lampost at 45 and rolled it, thought I was in the Lombard RAC rally in an rs1800. 3 mates in the car also and everyone got out without a scratch.
So it cost me a grand in fines, car, lampost etc. I was gutted at the time(20 years ago now).
Get over it, at least no one was hurt, you won't do it again will you? In the long run its only money and it could have been a lot worse.

you do realise your crap driving is at least partly responsible for me have to pay £XXX in insurance?
not sure what a full year will cost, but i had to pay £350 on top of the £500 i'd already paid for my beamer.
on the flip-side, why are you paying out anything? let the insurers pay the lot, and you will be MUCH better off. if you get points in addition to the accident, it won't make *that* much difference how much it cost them. (the big stuff is personal accident claims which can be megabucks)

Sounds like you couldn't have cared less if you'd put this guy in Hospital. If you've wrote his car off you must have been going some. What if you'd hit the side of his car where there's not much protection for him. This guy's probably got family. How would they have felt if you'd crippled their father, or killed him.
I'm not saying stick to speed limits, like I do, cos I don't, but experience (I'm only 31) has tought me that it is only safe to speed when the road and weather conditions allow it.
I think if you'd been a bit for sympathetic to the poor guy you hit, you wouldn't be getting criticised.

daz_vx220, No sympathy mate, don't like your attitude. Glad the 306 driver is ok. Get another type of car, you give subaru drivers a bad name.
This is why I'm thinking of selling my scoob.........Not because I might crash into a "dog **** 306" or anything, but because of f**kwits like this thinking they're Petter Solberg, putting insurance up for everyone and maintaining the Chav name tag for the rest of us younger impreza owners!
Just glad the other bloke was ok.

Come on Daz, I can't believe you don't care for the bloke you hit.
Chalk it up to experience, may need to hold back on fast cars for a year or two. I did when I had a bit of an off in my MR2 (the Mk1 not the Mk3, hum seems to be a bit of a theme with MR2s and me).
Just have to roll with it, use the insurance for both cars as costs have a habit of rising beyond the first estimates and getting the insurance to pay for everything is much better.

Some will know I got spat out of a corner a few months back but did minor damage to my car and luckly didn't smack anyone else.......SERIOUS WAKE UP CALL.......must have hit a bit of ice but now with so much to loose i limit myself out of choice. Cause I kow exactly what your feeling and it's ****....
It will go on but at this time of year it should have clicked that it's not exactly safe do go too crazy.
A driving instructor plowed into me last year and is trying to sue ME for loss of earnings etc cause i'm the young guy in the Subaru.....think he probably aimed for me...but let the insurance deal with it....it's why we have it.

Congratulations on justifying everyone's high insurance premiums
The fact that the police cautioned you must mean that may not have been driving sensibly.
Saying that the crash was due to your car handling like a bus and that you only hit a dog **** 306 anyway, isn't the best way to win friends. I hope I don't ever have the misfortune to meet you on the roads.
I remember a post a while ago where someone crashed his Scoob. He admitted it was his fault - didn't fully understand the handling and ran out of tallent - and stated that he would get a slower car until he gained some more experience. He also wanted advice on what he could have done to avoid the accident, and what else he could do to improve his skills. Oddly, that thread got a completely different type of response to this one.......

My simple response is.. if your car was handling like a bus you should have been driving it like a bus and not like an F1 car.. that way you wouldn't be in the situation you are now!
Hope the guy in the 306 is alright and i'd be startin to get worried about the legal suit that will follow when he/she decides to make some money out of your lack of ability to drive within your limitations. I guess you should also be checking out the local bus routes because it sounds like the police are gonna have some fun with you too (they tend to like throwing the book at reckless drivers in fast cars!!)
But on another note i hope your ok.. Maybe get used to the car a bit more next time but then again we all make mistakes!

Jockc79.
Your missing the point.
Read other responces. It's his brazen lack of respect for the poor guy he hit.

Bubbu will be well aware that he was describing the car - he was illustrating the poster's attitude. Come back when you can read, write and interpret English correctly...

Bet you'd think that was alright would you ????
Your showing yourself up to being a complete Tw*t
Was already down the turning infront of the oncoming car and my insurers have completely backed me up due to the advice given on here of taking pics of the accident site....now he's the one with the problem of reckless driving

worried about your own car , get a life pal !!
lmao @ just about every reply. Get over urselfs!!!!! we all make mistakes. It could of happned to any car, any person.
I doubt he alone is the reason for your high insurance. Try the case that the cars are so cheap now that ppl can aford to buy them on the 17th bday!
I would love to c the day one of u crash (term of speech dont actualy want u to go out n crash) come on here for some help and get slated for thinking you had the right to drive the car in the 1st place.
