Smiler to Squadron
I think a definitive test would be that of some intense squadron formation parking perfomed at noon with a low sun and a heavy payload amongst the squadron members and saloon/ MLR onlookers... under the scrutiny of Squadron Leader and No-bars
.... Only the REAL Smiles could make his dogs formation parking look better

Ha Ha!! (in Chinese accent) I will ask him questions only the real Smiles would know! (devilish laughter!!!)
When you were on ops training, you performed a synchronised double roll under the bridge where the big TV monitors were. Yes or no?
Had you just saluted the Sqn Ldr?.....and....Did you land upright with a chirrup of tyres???...........
What drink did you buy us all in the Officers Mess that night?
(If he gets any of these wrong, he ain't Smiles)

No, but was planning on shooting the t-shirt company over dispute
Has he been kidnapped by the Terzo division ?
Is was that Terzo water, Mark did a terzo Panzer division move to lower out guard and slip us some dodgy water to nobble the NBO opposition...the intention was to brainwash all wagoners into selling up and buying Terzo's so they could walk away with NBO trophies in 2007
Has his lovely wife had him committed ?
In the queue behind No-Bars Krud, Cynthia has frog marched him to front of queue
has he been savaged by his dogs ?
only licked a few times, keep looking at me like a big juicy bone though
has he locked himself in the wagon boot ?
only to escape the dogs and work

Seriously though what does everyone reckon is a sensibel price for an 04 wrx to get these days with 28 k on clock and Subaru FSH.
Am starting to turn mine back to standard as think this will be a better bet, does anyone agree or disagree, whats the general opinion.
If anyone is interested in any bits let us know, the scoop and carbon grill allready have prospective waiting buyers for, but various other bits coming off.
Front tyres are just about ilegal
so looking for some possible options to sell it with, may hunt ebay for a set of 17"s with enough life left on to sell it, anybody got any standard wrx or even sti wheels for the blob. will probably keep these P7's to go on the classic as I'm loving the look of Trails on his classic

Just moved from Birmingham to Edinburgh. The wagon came in very handy I can tell you!! Saved on a couple of trips down the A74/M6. More time to explore the local highway network

it's nice to have you back steve, recovered from your workaholica issues now i hope
Hello there.
I've joined Scoobynet cos I'm looking to get a Wagon from the late 90s onwards.
I'm hoping someone here can give me a few pointers - I've looked at a 96 WRX (which I thought, cosmetically, was dated, inside and out) and a 96 STi (which was much nicer, but had coilovers, etc and was not suitable for the missus) so I have a few questions:
Any help would be great. I’ve driven a few and I just want my own now!

I'm hoping someone here can give me a few pointers - I've looked at a 96 WRX (which I thought, cosmetically, was dated, inside and out) and a 96 STi (which was much nicer, but had coilovers, etc and was not suitable for the missus) so I have a few questions:
- I really don't like the interior of the older Imprezas (with the concertina-style gear lever gaiter) – at what year/version does that interior style change?
- Are WRX/STis Jap-only? As far as I’m aware, the Turbo 2000 is a UK model with approx. 200bhp, the WRX has 240bhp and the STi has 260bhp. Is this right?
- What year would be the newest STi (with average-low mileage) I could get for £6000?
- Do all wagons have those black rubber/plastic sideskirts?
- Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as getting a good one’s concerned? I also look on sidc.co.uk, subaru-impreza.org, pistonheads, autotrader, exchange and mart and other stuff like fish4.co.uk, Yahoo Cars, etc. but I haven’t found many STis. If it's not gonna be easy to find a decent STi I may have to go for a WRX but I thought I'd try for an STi first. It'd be very annoying to think, "I wish I'd got an STi", a few weeks later.
Any help would be great. I’ve driven a few and I just want my own now!
