Deffo the colour to go for, WR blue have at least 15 bhp more out of the box!

Change the wheels to PFF7's to really set it off!

Yup the black one would have been mine.

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?p=5366697 A few pics of it and my previous car.

Spoke to the dealer today and I'm going to have to wait I whole week before I can get the scratch on the bodywork fixed and the PPP fitted.

Got a question regarding the wiper on the car, popped into Halfords to get some Bosch ones, but they don't make them for the Impreza 2000 model onwards, so looked at the home brand Halfords, and they are S**T quality, and were dealer than the Bosch ones. No name stamped on the ones that are already on the car, as they look top quality, so where do I get them from?, main dealer?

TopJimmy, don't know where them pictures were taken, not near me then?.

A very nice car also, have you got to pay for the PPP, are they fitting it themselves? is it a chip and exhaust change?

Pictures of the STi are from up the coast from you, Aldeburgh in Suffolk. The PPP was part of the price I paid for the car, they just didn't get the parts in time to fit for the weekend and I was too impatient to wait... The kit is a remapped ECU, new fuel pump, high flow cat and new back box should be good for 305hp if you believe Prodrive.

Dave, you say you brought some Bosch wipers, I couldn't see them in the book to get a code, even got a bloke over to ask him, said they don't make them..........don't suppose you still the have box to get the part number?.

All this over wipers, how hard can it be.

I use Bosch wipers from Halfrauds on my 03 WRX. Just measure the lengths (the two wipers are different - I think 21" and 19"). The Bosch wipers come with all the fittings you need in the box.

It's worth getting the drivers side wiper with the spoiler on it so it doesn't lift at high speed.

Right, with halfords I would always measure up the old blades with the new. I work there (mores the pity!) and find that the books are quite often wrong anyway for bulbs, wipers etc. Just measure the old ones and choose to suit, they all use the same fittings. For some reason, the only blade that we don't stock is the 12"...Wierd!

Hi Darren,

I have tried and tested all the super unleaded fuels.......Firstly, the STi is manufactured to use ONLY super unleaded. (As per you handbook instructions). I suggest Tesco 99 octane, which is very reasonably priced, and will usually give a noticeable improvement in performance over the other supers. (Shell Optimax, BP Ultimate). Can't quite work out how something can be named 'ultimate' when it's only 97 RON.

Thanks Greg, on my second tank of Optimax, seems to run ok, but might very try a tank of the Tesco's Super then, what is the Optimax 98oct?.

Ennoch:- Got new wipers from the main dealer just to be sure this time, cost a few quid more but what the hell, will have a butchers in Halfords another day ready for next time I need them. You also saying about bulds I had to get some number plate ones the other night, the book was totally wrong in their code, as I took one out before I went in the shop, wrong fitting and wattage, found them just by looking around on the rack.

Hey Darren,
Collected her on friday but i've been working all weekend apart from an 80 mile round trip to girfriends and back on sunday/monday which was mostly motorway
Compared with my classic the power delivery, ride and handling are certainly, different, and the six speed box will take a bit of getting used to.

Looking forward to a proper blast on my favourite country roads ASAP.

Dealer had brimmed it with bog standard Tesco UL so it'll be interesting to see if I notice any difference when I fill it with Optimax.I thought my classic got lots of attention but this is something else, driving back up the road from Ayr yesterday morning I got enthusiastic waves from two STi's and two classics going the other way, and that was on the motoway, which I dont think would have happened before.

Pics might take a while....bit of a technophobe

Yup i live in sunny Billericay, well actually fricking freezing Billericay at the mo

My car is coming tomorrow, hopefully will be a good car, ive had a coupel of grands worth of extras stuck on before its being delivered which were kinda suggested inc strut braces, new air filter, remap, exhaust and gausges etc, oh and mud flaps, it already has PPP handling and perfomance, god knows what that means

I had a P1 before and that was a hell of a car so i hope this is along those lines?

Defo have to meet up though if you fancy, i dont wanna go to a meet on my own, im scared

Yeah wouldn't mind meeting and an going to a meet somewhere!.
You'll have to put some more pics when you get your car Fur.

I'm trying to hold of a lower front grille for mine, to protect it from low flying stones, don't know why they didn't put one in in the first place.
