The purpose of this event is to have a good days crack and not to look and Big sinkys car althought it would be interesting to see the BHP it has as im sure he would love to know himself.

Is anyone from that neck of the woods that could advise of a good spot that we can:
1) gather and not **** off locals
2) take some photos with nice scenery
3) have a good feed and a drink if we want to.
the north coast is a good suggestion and yes it is a great part of the country but for those wanting to travel from down south it doubles travel time in some instances. a little bit more consideration goes a long way. i am not getting at you guys specifically, but there is still tons of time to get something organised. we need to get the venue sorted, then organise the day.
cheers

i agree with sinky, we want to get a decent number of cars sorted for this, and have a good days craic. What do we class as central? oxford island is a good bit down, but is it suitable for a meet. I know NCC had a meet there, and there was loads of space, and it was a great location for a photoshoot.
Anyone got any other suggestions? anywhere closer to the border?

My parents live in co. down and there are lots of lovely places to drive - the mournes/newcastle/castlewellan are by far the nicest with great places to eat (and ice cream!) and lovely scenery for photos. Its closer to the southern boys/gals and a bit more for us co. antrim people to drive but I'm happy enough to do that!!
The few of us from co. antrim direction could meet up and cruise down together?
Any takers?
Another suggestion is Fermanagh - best county in the north for scenery with the lakes and the best value for money grub (Logh Erne Hotel, Kesh!). If all the southern boys are mainly from dublin area this might get ruled out quick!

Looks like its gonna be Sprucefield so those from the south can attend(interesting to see now how many come). As for a date what about Sunday the 26th of February in the afternoon to allow for pics and tyre kicking??.

HI EVERYONE BEEN WATCHING THIS FOR A WHILE AND I WOULD THINK SPRUCEFIELD ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON. AS THE JAP MEETS WERE THERE AND THEY ATTRACTED PLENTY FROM THE NORTH AND SOUTH AND THERES DAYLIGHT SO YOU BEABLE TO SEE EACH OTHERS CARS. THEN YOU COULD HEAD TO BANGOR IN THE EVENING LIKE ONE OF THE PREVIOUS SCOOBY MEETS.

i'm more than happy with sprucefield but let's see what the guys from south of the border think. are you guys happy enough to travel to lisburn? it's a pretty straight run from dublin, and can't miss it once you get onto the M1 heading for belshaft. be really nice if we got a good contingent from down south, put a few faces to usernames as well.

The intersting to see how many come comment is downing people before they come. Not having much faith. Hardly a good relationship building talk between the northern and southern scooby owners.
Sunday 26th Febuary sounds fine!!
And maybe meet up sprucefield (chat+photos) and then take a drive then to newcastle and back or watever????????????
