Well folks think lost the plot a bit. As renno and john mc said, us from south clearly interested in heading up for a meet no problem. Also have many mates in scoobys too. So talking minimum 10 cars. All i'm reading here is people wanting it on there own doorstep. So not a very good start. Thought sprucefield somewat agreeed. 1hr 25 mins or so for us south get up there. All on north coast would make it in same or less time. So seems fair enough to me. Or am i missing somthing here?????????????????????????

Wow leggy be calm!
I don't think anyone really minds that much. Most of the ones that were replying, were from Co. Antrim direction so I think thats why the north coast was mentioned.
I'm happy enough to travel anywhere - Sprucefield is actually a good base as you could head up the M1 a bit, north a bit or even do county down / Ards peninsula - then you southern boys/gals could go home via Newcastle or Hilltown for some interesting roads instead of the A1???

Just been back up through the thread there - it look like we have 8-9 from the North + Legacy's entourage.
Have we agreed Sprucefield as the venue then???
We also have John Curistan's offer of a rolling road day and troff at East Coast Customs (Lisburn). Personally rolling roads don't get me excited, but I am happy to weigh in and boost the numbers. Free go on the rollers and free food - You da man John!!!

Turbogirl is right as most replying were from Co.Antrim I opted for North coast.Good car parks and good roads for a burst home as TT said through Ballycastle too Glenariff, plenty of places for something to eat aswell. So I think we would be better sticking to th enorth coast now as its sort of agreed or we will still be here in December trying to please everyone with a suitable location, now if we can get a date set and get this meet to become a reality I'm sure most will be happy with that.
PS.Sinky I see ECC are trying to Hijack this meet as they have the second quickest Impreza in Ireland, they must be trying to lure us there to see the quickest and what you've done to it!!!

I'm from the north coast and the is some great drives up here but I can see where the southern guys are comming from, it's a hell of a drive to ask of them. I'll go anywhere but I think a location which is going to attract the biggest crowd would be the best bet so I think Sprucefield might be the crowd pleaser!!!
PS. ECC do you guys do a remapping service???

how about the northern boys have a meet and the southern boys have a meet and then they all drive to meet in the middle somewhere
it wont matter who organises what when or where cause it isnt going to suit everyone anyway
i suggest someone decides a day date time and place and get on with it, those that want to go will those it doesnt suit wont

looks like the northern and southern ppl are gonna have to have their own meets as nothing can seem to be agreed.
@mad555 you seem to be organising it so set a date to get things moving, looks like north coast is a good location.

folks this is not good. we are trying to generate a feeling of inclusiveness here, not an us and them scenario. to be fair to the people from the south we need a more central location. some of the boys from the south said that sprucefield would be ok, but i feel we are still doing them no favours. perhaps somewhere closer to the border, the problem is finding a spot that isn't going to **** off the locals.
Is anyone from that neck of the woods that could advise of a good spot that we can:
1) gather and not **** off locals
2) take some photos with nice scenery
3) have a good feed and a drink if we want to.
the north coast is a good suggestion and yes it is a great part of the country but for those wanting to travel from down south it doubles travel time in some instances. a little bit more consideration goes a long way. i am not getting at you guys specifically, but there is still tons of time to get something organised. we need to get the venue sorted, then organise the day.
cheers
