LOL quality.

And I just thought of one other thing in defence of dump valves. Doing a loud 'dump' is down to the way you drive, not the fact that you simply HAVE an atmospheric dump valve. If we're talking about Escorts going past you in the street and giving you poor old folk a fright by dumping just as they pass, they're already flooring it anyway. It's perfectly possible to dump quietly or even not at all if you drive gently.

It's the aggressive on-off driving style (mainly practised by less experienced drivers, admittedly) that causes loud dumping which is what causes offence to others. So by that logic, anyone WITHOUT an atmospheric dump valve is depriving themselves of a valuable early warning system that they're driving like a tit around town.

How true this guy is ... We all drive the same(ish) car, but it is amazing how one small modification can bring out such a variety of mindless (and should I say occasionally elitist?) comments. Modding a car in whatever respect makes it different but really no worse than any other. Perhaps some of the people here think we should all drive identical cars and become the most boring ***** on the planet eh? NO! It's the diversity of the cars we drive that makes it the most wonderful thing around on four wheels around, so let's hope it stays that way for a long time to come.

We are all human beings, but we would rightly ridicule someone walking around with an enormous fake phallus affixed to their forehead.

Even in standard form the boxer4 engine is significantly louder than most others on the road. Does this mean that all the anti BOV squad have downgraded to 1.6 imprezas so as not to sound too chavish?

Nah, haven't got round to that one yet (but I will). I'm just sick of people giving it the "holier than thou" attitude just because someone has a bit of aftermarket kit on thier car. Each to their own is what I say.

I havent voted, im not going to ...however

I do like VTA dump valves ... i couldnt give a flying fc*k if people think they are chav ...........my money, my car, my CHOICE'.

I had VTA on my car for 2 years it round no problems with it.... ive recently took it off, and my car feels like it runs better, i have also noticed marginal better mpg...

So, if you've got your own mind, 'you' choose, if you're a robot ....let SN anti anything because it chav brigade choose'..

i change my dump valve roughly every 2 or so months, from recirc to atmos and back again. I simply get bored with it and change back, then miss it so change it back again. Keeps the car interessting to me to make sure i dont get that Skyline
