Don't get me wrong I have ABSOLUTELY no attraction or interest towards men in a sexual way but If someone else does then thats their business and I'd respect that . Like I said at the end of the day I judge someone on how they conduct themselves and whether they try to be a good person or not . . Who are we to decide on whether ANY couple let alone a same sex couple have the capability to bring up a child in a decent and loving manner . . you know its very often the case that people who most strongly attack and be-little gay men are guys who have experienced confusing attractions to members of the same sex . . just something you might wan think about I'll leave it at that . . take it easy

So where do you get your opinions from? Are they well thought out? What sort of research have you done? Have you spoken to informed, impartial people? Or have you just decided people who aren't like you are freaks?

Have you considered that anyone who applies to foster or adopt will have to go through a strict testing policy? To ensure the potential parents aren't nutters, facists, violent etc and will provide a safe, loving and educational home for children.

Have you also condisered the huge numbers of parents who mis-treat their children, who abuse them, allow them to run truant, commit crimes? What about the children who live in poverty? Who take to the streets? Who are involved with prostitution or drugs?

And you're bothered about the what foster parents may or may not be doing in their bedroom!

It depends on your reasoning, if you think it is wrong 'because gays are perverts'. Then you are generalising against a group of people because of their sexuality, and that is prejudist, and would therefore make you homophobic. I think that is the point some of us are tying to make. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion, and we are (for the most part) having a reasoned discussion about it. Its just some people are backing up their 'i disagree' statements, with nothing but facist pap!

I am not sure that is the case - saying you don't personally like something is quite different to, say, associating homosexuality with murder, or saying gays must be child molesting perverts.

I mean, I don't like sprouts but I don't expect that I should fight for them being made illegal.

There is a huge gulf between preference and prejudice. A lot of these posts have been made from prejudice which is quite sad.

The real issue is that prejudice leads to injustice which is one of the greatests problems in the world today, not the fact that a small number of gay couples might bring up an adopted child - all IMHO of course.

So long as the gays don't make little boys moisturise I have no problem with this .

However - How long before some gay couple takes a local council to court for not letting them adopt a kid and being at the bottom of the potential adopters list ?

Don't get me wrong - live and let live is my motto - but this looks like a licence for litigation .
