The classic is dead!
I bought my 1st Scoob about 4 months ago and that was a MY00 turbo 2000 1 owner from new, standard, full Subaru service history with 54K on the clock. Hunted high and low to find a car like that with fsh and one owner which was a guy in his mid 40's and feel it's an example that the classic is still a amazing car. Had to get the gold alloys changed for the std silver ones as the car is is mica blue (dark metallic blue) so wanted the subtle coloured alloys for it and not the normal gold type.
Bla bla bla bla!!
The only reason i got a classic was bacause imo its the best looking out of all of them! Its the same with all makes of cars, the newer they are the more ugly they get!!!

I got it from a dealer (SGT) with fssh (again SGT) all stamped, and its just clocked 60'000 miles!
Please correct me if im wrong, but i cant actually see and chav in these 2 pictures can you????
And my sisters boyfriend has just piced his second one up (first one got nicked quite a while ago) its green with the same spoiler as mine siler wheels and PPP! Once again cant say i can see any chav on his one!!

oh why cant they just sell new imprezas to rich posh people and crush them all when they get to 3 years old? that would stop the riff raff getting their dirty stealing mitts on them............
imo......people should stop looking down their nose at everyone who has a car that is older/modified not to ure standards/different manufacturer/colour etc.....live and let live.
i myself have a modified classic and i love it to bits.....wouldnt change it for the world......well might change the wheels come summer

Still got my dbm classic MY00 turbo (bought new in Jan 01), and I still get a big grin evey time I get in it. Visually, it's still pretty much standard apart from a few subtle cosmetic changes (17" wheels, STi6 front lip, smoked side repeaters, colour coded orange wedges). Most of the changes I've made have been under the skin on the suspension.
Dont worry, its only a temporary thing - early cars are now in the price bracket where the slightly better off chavs can just about afford them and the insurance, so they buy them.
Good thing about this is that they will run them into the ground, screw the engine, try and run it for pennies, and the cars will die pretty quickly.
This means good unabused early cars that havent been tarted up will become rarer, and in a few years will start to become collectable and the prices will go up.
Look at older cars like the Porsche 928 - you can buy a wrecked one for under a grand, but look at how much a minter goes for ! same with Cossies, you see mint low mileage Sierras for over £10K now, few years ago you could pick up a battered one for under £2K.

What ever car you drive nowadays you will be put into a bracket by some people.
Don't judge a book by it's cover.....lots of people on here drive 3 series BMW's, but that doesn't mean they're all to55ers.

I fancy another Classic but finding an umolested MY2000 (the best year) with less than 30k on the clock is hard work...
Please do *not* PM me with info of your car as I am not in the market to buy at the moment.
Oh yeah, and the colour has to be Red Mica

I just enjoy driving it, and I even get waves off some of the 'chavs' which makes it all ok in my book, as they obviously know what they are driving!
