Spoke with Extreme Scoobies this morning and have done a deal with them for fitting up pipe and catted down pipe combined (the customer won't be charged for fitting of catted down pipe when extreme fit the up-pipe ) make sense ??

can i be put down for a 3" decat down pipe & a 3"centre without the silencer ?
will this mate up to my blitz nur spec r back box? if it will can i also request a spare flange as my back box has been modified to fit my push fit centre, i would need the flange welding back on u see.

how are the un-equal headers coming along? am tempted to join jay bee and go for unequal rather than the equal.

other people are getting these things done so can't see an extra one being a problem. have a check back a couple of pages and you should find the q and a's to the same question.

Spare flange not a problem ,i can't guarantee the fit as the jap put flanges in strange places so you only buy there exhausts but having said that if you are welding the flange back on to your back box then you will be able to take up any misalignment.

I won't be starting the manifolds until all the orders are in but the good news is if the numbers don't make 5 the price will stay the same as i have 1 independent order here.

mmm not sure which to go for now. my car isn't heavily modified i just need some new headers and didn't want to put standard back on.

i do like the scooby sound but the equal length ones will give me a sound that will stand out from the crowd. choices, choices.

Yeah it's a tough one mate! I love the burble but had a ride in a Type 25 the other day and that sounded awsome with it's equal length headers. I'd probably go for the equal length as the unequal length ones were always a cost saving compromise by Subaru after all.

i guess the equal length ones will make the people who aren't in the know wonder why it doesn't sound the same as all the other scoobies and is it something different.

can just see a nova boys face now when he thinks he stands more of a chance than usual because it hasn't got that off beat boxer sound. thinking that it could only be a sport then hasta la vista it's really a propper one.

I'm interested in a center section 3" down pipe end tapered to 2.5" back box end (to mate to a P1 back box) and a 3" de-cat down pipe.

If you do a search, have a look how many of the well respected tuners actually use equal length headers... I doubt you'll find many (any) of them using... hence why I've changed my plans back to unequal.

I can send you a couple of pic's of what the unequal ones will look like? As I said, Ive given Ian my requirements of what I need the headers for and he has been happy to oblige <cough.. gru..cough..ppe...cough...s..cough ..style>

I may be buying a JDM Forester XT; will know this weekend and if successful I'll probably want a catted downpipe, silenced centre pipe and tail pipe in 2.5". Should we be looking for a group buy on re-maps as well?

hi guys

can someone help me workout what ineed to buy for my car

its an STI7 with PPP, i want to decat the downpipe and deal with the engine management light

do i need anymore than the downpipe the prodrive centre pipe is already decatted? want to remap to about 330bhp eventually

want to also keep the same PPP backbox for now, will the increase of noise with the decat downpipe be lots as i want to keep the noise down for track days etc

obvioulsy will need a remap afterwards, but does it need doing straight away what damage will occur if i dont remap for 6 months or so?

final question, will i be able to fit a flamer kit to this when i've decatted the downpipe? and what are the benefits of doing the upppipe
