it is, its a shame though as Id love to get steven pissed and take him for a decent curry

Anway.. think im a little high from the old 2k paint

sill is welded, filled and primed.. not ready for primer but it makes it 100 times easier to see where the stopper and hard work needs to be placed!

back quarter also needs a fair bit of work..

however 1 day on kitchen left, got 6 sockets to fit, 3 plinths (2 need 45degree mitres.. piece of ****). Light fitting to change.. and need to get another box of tiles to finish tiling, then its get my mate around to paint (He's a decorator) oh and stick the worktop edging strip on 3 edges

Might even post a pic of that.

Cutters to be used for rollcage.. see 50p for size..

Part of the cage:

Another Part

Rear 1/4 covered in primer, and then 2k stopper to fill any marks / scratches.. just plastered on

Underside

Erm as above.

Drivers Wheelarch - still lacking some effort..

Sill partially done, welding on bottom edge to complete.. 1/2 done.

Main hoop for rollcage.. and dashboard, diff, driveshafts, door and lots of crap!

Underside near sill

Subaru scrap yard...

LOL At all including stevey.. Ive done 1 so far!! its messy work!!

Cutters are going to get spun in the lathe, but yeah I dread to think how big the milling machine is that they 'fell off'

I thought you all were buying real roll cages all cut to suit, sub welded and ready for final installment?

Why not a simple 6 point bolt-in but welded to suit the shell and brace accordingly but minimally to best effect?

Have i missed something?
For speed events you don't need the PowerStation treatment?

I hope to see my sketch realised!

Graham, a weld in cage comes in two formats; bent tubes with straight ends, or for more money profiled ends...but the profiling is prety poor so you end up having to adjust them to suit your own shell.

The big boys want weld in because tehy adds strength to the chassis that a bolt in can't...especailly if you're removing large chunck of metal for lighterweight panels
