is it me or it really slow at the moment? i mean dog slow not just usual slow?

Can you give us an insite into some of the updates due to come?? or is that a best kept secret till its been done.

thx simon for such a quick response. i know we should put these comments in the bug and feature section, but since this is such a big topic and will no doubt receive loads of feedback(which i am sure you love and cherish 
), then general is the first place ppl go to.
but cheers for replying and keeping us guessing what is in store next.
have you asked santa for a big 20 terrabyte linux box for xmas with a fat dedicated leased line...
you might need to make this a sticky if you have more planned
oh and blooming stop tinkering...sn might be the only thing some of us saddos have to play with at xmas if they put the Great Escape on again !!!

Actually it looks ok to me and I'm looking forward to the end results for sure
One thing though, can the forum be taken off line at night instead of the day as I had to go for a walk in work this afternoon as the forum was down

From what I have read they have quite a lot to do as yet and some of the little things that we have lost will be coming back but they need to get the updated forum fully operational first.
Some of the things we are missing are personal tweaks that have been made to the forum as time has gone by... these I think have been lost with the update and need to be added back on later manually.
I'm missing the previews that one is a real pain not to have.
