Shame what could have been a very interesting piece on a unique hypercar was turned into low res shots of ‘presenter-driven’ babble in the inside of a Cessna. They have lost sight of the cars by now in an effort to be >chortle< entertaining in a rather public schoolboy sort of way. They seriously need some more petrolhead producers back on board. I learnt more about air traffic control than I did about that car…

Yep I want one too... had my daubts about the styling at first but now love it...
Although its knocking out 530bhp per tonne (over a hundred less than the Atom) its the torque figure that makes the big difference in the performace... @978lbft thats close to 500 torques per tonne too... 4 blowers is the way to go...
I have a cunning plan and some trick bits that should do the trick though and by May I should be hot on the foot of the Bugger... looking for 740bhp per tonne and 530ftlb hopefully will be 100 in the 5s and under 2.5 to 60 with some sticky and larger rears... and all for £800,000 less the bugger...
Veyron really is the mutts nuts though, it sounds just monsterous and very very angry...

It is technically a very interesting car and the quoted performance is extremely impressive of course.
I thought it is particularly ugly though, it is difficult of course to incorporate the traditionally shaped Bugatti radiator grille into a car of that body style.
No good expecting any kind of a demonstration of impressive handling from JC. He is inacapable of anything like that by his own admission. Straight lines suit him best.

Given that he had an instructor with him, he could have continued the flight under tuition and landed at Biggin to win the 'race'. Not even a Veyron is going to be able to keep up 180mph ground speed for very long.

Having spoken to Jezza today about the Bugatti test, the car in the studio was a show mock-up. They will however be getting the car back for next season's programmes and doing a lap (to finally put everyone of you out of your misery).
Should have seen the look in the old boy's eyes while he was talking about it - the man is in love with that car!.............
