Just working out some figures, I apologise for the rambling nature

http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/bc...hp?make=Subaru

Power FC 79233 yen = £386
AVCR 48000 yen = £234 (for info)
3kg delivery 6300 yen = £30 (over generous)

They charge 5% to use paypal

The import price (power fc + delivery + 5%) includes the commander for around £436 ish and hope you dont get import duty 4% and vat 17.5% added, import duty £17.47 and £67 VAT total £521 ish (assuming vat only on purchase price of £386) if you ordered just a power fc from Greenline plus £250 to map

Does the group buy price include a premium for using paypal? if not and the price is £360 plus £25 postage total £385 that is good. Add in the risk of duty and VAT £15.40 and £63, total £463 ish plus £250 to map

So even if you had to pay duty and vat it is cheaper,

I stand corrected but uk supply and map prices I think are around £800

So (plus £250 map)

Import your own from Greenline best case £436 (£686) worst case £521 (£771)

Group buy best case £385 (£635) worst case £463 (£713)

or

All in UK supply and map for £800

So worst case scenario, all that for £87 saving

Sod it Im happy to wait if it means I can gamble and save a potential £165 between group buy best price and UK supply and map

I stand corrected on all of this,

(blimey im bored)

I've had a PM from someone on the GB who may need 5 more

If we wait until the end of Feb we could be looking at 20 maybe.

I can wait - just buy more OB until then.

28th of February for a closure then??

Nich B - thanks for spelling it out

I'll try for more discount if we get 20 & maybe we can haggle over the Paypal fee.

Dean

OK folks,

I've asked for a price for 20 & whether they can discount the Paypal fees.

Regarding duty. I've purchased a few bits from overseas & been stuffed on duty once. I would imagine it's luck of the draw.

I would imagine the best way to deal with payment would be for us each to pay via PP individually & I'll send a list of names to Greenline to confirm who is on the GB & qualifies for the prices offered.

Any thoughts??

yep would hope with 20 or even 15 they would take that in to the discount on the item and waver the paypal fee's i need to wait anyway now so the more people the better tax if i get caught for it then so be it still im going to ask if they can send as returns or gift when i order nothing to lose

Just a thought, does anyone know (and trust) someone in the Channel Islands? If we had the order shipped there, it could then be opened and shipped individually to each purchaser, this way avoiding TAX & VAT limiting the risk of any unnecessary increase......I think thats legal, as it becomes a gift?

Robbie,

Here is the reply from our man in Japan:

"Cannot move much more on the special pricing on the AVC-Rs: 48,000 yen each."

Shipping is £25

+ 5% Paypal charges.

You may be OK & miss out on duty.

I'd say the group has decided on 29th Feb for last day on this.

Are you in.......................?

AVCR would be £271.95 based on 48000 yen + £25 + 5%, so long as you didnt get done for duty which would be a potential £332.32
