Bad news dudes,

I got a call from da venue asking if there were any deposits forthcoming?

Now the venue is under pressure for that slot as it's the only free one for about 2 months

Sales pitch or not, we have until Close of play Monday 23rd July to not only come up with 5 more teams (at least) but also get the deposits in. Otherwise it's not gonna happen

Quite suprised at the lack of input for this one! Maybe us midlands lot prefer to simply meet at a pub, go for a drive around the Region and then go home

Mikey

Give the Southern and Northern lot a shout, lay down a challenge, tell them they cant drive or something and come and prove us wrong. The site is easy to get too just off the M1.

Cheers

hmmmmmmm

do you think that £42 per person(x4) + the drive to Northampton might have a little to do with it Mikey???

what was up with SixHills?
only down the road! Cost not sure bet it wouldn't be as costly as £42!!!!

not that i'm mean! just careful with money! lol

LOL @ Salsa

Good entertainment costs money, you'll know that having a scoob

We could do it on the cheap (sixhills) but by the time the numbers shake out, you've saved yaself about £20.

I don't mean to be arrogant here, but £20.00...C'mon, get ya wallet out

I'll consider a different venue if the cost REALLY is a problem, but I think that getting more team members is the way to reduce the cost per competitor and giving non scoob owners a lift and sharing the fuel costs will be the best way of easing the fuel bill.

Gimme feed back people, cos I don't wanna challenge the Northern/Southern people to a session and then find that we, as the Midland Posse, can't raise enough teams. It is a Midlands meet afterall

Let me know soon Y'all

Hello !!!! Dont get me wrong but I thought you liked to drive your impreza not just polish it every so often. What route do you take from Nottingham to Northampton, via Lincoln?

Come on get yer **** down to Daventry and show this newbie your car and mods. Then whip my **** round a Karting track to shut me up. If you want we might even let you sing a bit or Salsa with a bit Chicas, Chicus turns, openning out and a sombrero.

65MPH an inch off the ground, round a 900M track. The place has a bar and its just off the M1. Give it a go its far better than the tracks at Silverstone, Coventry and Leicester.

Cheers

Neal

I will say this, just the once.....

NEVER.....EVER....UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES....Invite Salsa to come and sing in your part of the world

Salsa King

As a newbie, whats with the name Salsa King, are you a bit of a Salsa snake swinging hips expert on the dance floor or just love the taste of a salsa dip????

And are you taking the Karting Challenge ?

OK Peeps,

I'm afraid i've had to pull da plug on da kartin. The venue got some serious pressure to release the date and to be honest, If i was Ian, I'd have gone for the dead cert to!

All is not lost though, I'm in the process of sorting summat out with Walker, re getting east and west midlands posse's together on the same date.

Salsa, I'll try and get them to meet us at Carlton Tesco so you haven't got far to come lol

Sorry about that guys an gals, but the meet still will be an event, just without da kartin'

Keep an eye out for a suitably titled thread

Awww.....never mind guys..

Maybe we should organise a scalextric meet at our place

... That could be quite funny ..Cheaper and easier too!

Salsa obviously wants the slowest car, with all the carpet fluff round the axles... to represent real life speeds.... he he

(This thread is a joke..... but hang on... that could be quite good fun one winter saturday??? )

Cheers

Re-scheduling sounds good, karting still sounds expensive, now I have scoob back I prefer spending money on a tank of the old SUL + OB to have a run around in the little beast.

Not sure when I am free, too many events ot attend, I am double booking myself on some and getting all trying to remember which one I am actually going on!!!

Look forward to seeing you all again and showing off a now running Little Miss WRx than the standing version a few weeks ago

Michelle.

(Only got out of the car an hour ago and wants to get back in for another drive )
