Care to qualify that as you seem to be in disagreement with the rest of the world, ipods consistently rate as the best sounding players in all reviews and magazines worldwide, including audiophile level.

Personally I have no doubt that other players are as good, but they all look terrible. The new Sony Walkman is just horrible.

Also I use the ipod in conjunction with itunes, my library is shared through itunes across three computers at home (we share our libraries at work too), I have airport express wirelessly streaming itunes into my hifi, itunes store is the best music store etc etc. Plus all the ipod accessories.

As a total system nothing comes close.

Don't bother KiwiGTI. LPB doesn't listen to reason when it comes to iPods. I can understand to certain extent why HE doesn't like them but because HE doesn't like them HE seems to think that they are all crap.

Anyway, consider what all the players do and how they do it and pick the one that's best for YOU.
