What's your company pension scheme like? When was your last risk assessment or H&S audit? How many H&S @ Work First Aiders do you employ? Which union do you subscribe too? Do you pay staff full wages should they become seriously ill and for how long? How do you handle stress at work? What are your grievance procedures? How's your family friendly policy and maternity cover coming along? How many women or people with disabilities do you employ? How's your staff retention rates? How many training places are available for staff each year? How does your staff performance and appraisal system work? How often to you have formal supervision with each member of staff? What quality management system do you subscribe to? How many bank staff do you employ to cover ill health? Need I go on? Good employers are rare, even in the UK.

can this whole issue be summed up quite simply by saying we have enough british people sponging off the state, and we just dont need any immigrants coming here and sponging off the state...

muslim doctor, african engineer, australian teacher...if youve got something to bring and contribute, come on in...but if youre here for a free ride, f*ck off...isnt that as simple as it gets...?
