He brought it on himself, but its still sad to see someone die so young, and some folk have lost a friend and/or a father as well. ![Frown](images/smilies/frown.gif)
RIP George Best, wishes to his family.

The guy was good at his job (apparently) but was a drunk and a womaniser. He died the death of a bum, get over it.

Can I just clarify if the womaniser bit is a good or a bad thing? It's just I have to admire him for some of his work in that area...

If you wish to slate the man (god rest his soul) do it on another thread and leave this one to people who wish to pay their respects!!!

Lets not forget he was a legend when he played football and that is what he should be remembered for.

The man is a Legend. I still remember his performance on Wogan vividly.
Seriously though, as my mum just mentioned to me, she began supporting United because of this guy and the way he could play.
That says it all really, a woman supporting a footy team for the the right reasons, not coz a player's got a sexy bum or cute face!![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
At the end of the day, he had a bad few last years, but the rest of it I bet he would never change if given the option. He may have died relatively young but he certainly lived it to the the max, if a little selfishly.
