Hi guys,
Wish myself and S13XY C could make this, but we are both working!!! If we are having problems about this monitor for the computer I am willing to make a donation. Not happy about missing a cruise, but needs must.
Keep flying the flag on the seafront for the ESC.

I Have been asked by a few peeps , Regarding the disabilities of these kids in the care home that the presents are going to
So i dropped an E Mail to the organisers regarding this subject , This is the reply that i got back , Im sure that it will help everybody out
Hi Tiny,
Well according to Stacy at the home in Henley, all her children are mentally disabled in that they do not have the thinking capacity of a typically developed child of their matched age. So, for example, a 15 year old will probably have the thinking capacity and understanding of, say a 7year old and, I think one of the children aged 17 had a mental age of about 10.
The children have a range of disabilities. From what I can remember from last year, there were children with Downs Syndrome, children who were physically disabled and those children who were unfortunately affected by both mental and physical disability.
So, in answer to the question, I would suggest buying toys suitable for children aged from 3 years to about 14 years. Without trying to sound patronising or un-PC, I think anything else may be advanced in ways that may not be appreciated.
In getting toys, I think anything with music, light or colour would be appreciated...anything that you can imagine a young child being attracted too.
As for jewellery, obviously just get costume stuff, probably a bead set would be good so the children can perhaps make their own necklaces or bracelets and then it will also be interactive and challenging in that respect.
The DVD's etc that have been asked for have all tended to be childrens programmes (Angelina Ballerina, Thomas The Tank etc) so anything around that kind of cartoony or 'young' category will be fine I should think.
Hope this helps, sorry its long winded!
See you guys on the 11th

OK, here's the deal, just spoken to my manager and he is prepared to sign off the cost of a monitor up to the value of around £150.
I just need to look around for one buy it and he will then re-imburse me.
John/Lewi/anyone - Do you know where I can get one for that sort of money? I will be hunting around on the net as well.
Cheers
David
