From: Down South to Ooop North to Back Down South again!!
That was an absolutely blinding day. Food, beer, food, beer, Mmmmmmmm!!!!!!(in a Homer Simpson Stylie!!)
The drive there was so fantastic that I decided to take the same route back but carried on to Ifield. My tyres were smoking!!!! Especially when someone in a Saxo VTR tried to race me & looked surprised when I just overtook him!!!!!
Anyway until next time.
Peace
MAFFA

Could i recommend a different route next time please, especially when the first group went through colgate (i think it was) and buzzed the village police house which i suspect led to the above mentioned visit

Hi Pete, fair point about the route
although we could divert via Ifield instead. Alternatively, do you have suggestions for a route that takes us towards your neck of the woods? I'm not so familiar with the pubs down there as I am with those in Horsham
. I remember we went to a pub at Hassoocks last year which was pretty good.

off the top of my head a route something like the following could be fun dependant on sunday traffic of course. Out of pease pottage services turn right, straight over the roundabout, left at the next roundabout (the only way you can go without doubling back), left at the mini roundabout (heading towards the pub we used a few meets ago on the balcombe road last time if you remember).
Right at the T junction on the balcombe road, all the way down that through balcombe, through cuckfield, down to burgess hill, out the other side and grab a pub round hurstpierpoint way?
Failing that if we want a longer drive, i could be tempted to hook a left out of cuckfield towards heaywards heath, straight through haywards towards uckfield, right past the garden centre on that road towards chailey, immediate right again cutting back under haywards heath (some little village whos name escapes me), left at the mini roundabout where the renault garage is towards ditchling, then right in ditchling village taking us towards hurstpierpoint and a pub somewhere round there.......... (perhaps the pilgrims goose, nice large car park, foods ok (same brewery as the pub last sunday) plus the gardens fenced in and those of us with rugrats needn't fret quite so much.
Quite a long 'ish route but some very nice twisites, some long straights to get past traffic, some villages to wake up
and not as bumpy as sundays when the poor chap behind me though my hks box was about to join him in his lap.
Here's a thought, maybe we should organise some sort of treasure hunt thingy.......... or is that a bit too bobble hat ?

I did intend to have a drivers breifing as the map wasn't very clear as to where to turn, but I was the last to know that we were moving off....!
New route sounds good!
Had thought of a Treasure hunt, but its got to be organised! I'll have a think, Pete if you've got any ideas mail me off line.
Iain.
