Red face

Sorry Matt
Keep forgetting your not in the Horsham posse at the moment. What time are you coming around then!
P.S the bloke up the road has sold his lovely Terzo and got a UK300 (minging! bug eyed) looks like the ends of his spoiler have melted in the sun!
See ya

Col...get him to bring the UK300 along.... would be nice to see it in action

I've just driven the proposed route from Pease Pottage via Colgate, Faygate, Rusper towards Capel, and ending at Kingsfold. There's plenty of nice twisties. Its about 12 miles and took me just under 20 minutes.

The Wise Old Owl at Kingsfold (A24) has a pretty big car park and several tables outside if its nice. Apparently food is served all day.

Look forward to seeing u all Sunday .

Cool

Col,

I'll be around at about 12.30 if that's okay. Don't know where Brian lives but i'm sure 1/2hr is plenty of time.

Oh & Mark I think you may be right about my exhaust. Shame about Iain's though, because I couldn't hear that even if I was under his back box (ooh eer !!)

555Marcus, thought you were going to print the maps up! Though the rubber trail idea works for me

Maffa, You wouldn't fit under my back-box. (F*t N*cker).

I like it quiet. Means you can't hear me till I come "BLATTING" past you.

On second thoughts I'll stay behind you, don't want you running into the back of me with those weedy little 2 pots!!!
You can't even even use engine braking with that long wavey gear shift !!!!!

Iain

Ps. How was Wimbledon? Did you get sun burn

Iain, I have printed some maps just in case anyone wants one .

As we discussed on Wednesday, if we make sure that those of us that know where we're going are at the front, middle and back of the "convoy" then we should be ok

I'm knackered from cleaning and polishing the car, just hope it doesn't rain now

Alright Mr Dyney !!!!!!!!!!! So you wanna start bitchin!!!!!!!

Who you callin fat anyway - "He who puts on his belt with a boomerang!!"

Oh and about BLATTING past me - We'll see !!

Don't care about the quickshift as one will be mine. As for the sound of my exhaust - I wouldn't trade that in for anything in the world. Oh & definately not for one that sounds like a bunch of angry wasps in a tin can!!!!!!

Just a quick question, has this pub got an enclosed garden ?

If not i might have to pass up on the pub bit as its a pain in the **** chasing the rug rat round and stopping him run in the road etc.

Yes, it did have a garden. Just big enough for Matt to run around like a headless chicken...

yeah danny was there.

We saw the plain green unmarked police car driving up and down outside the pub three times whilst we had a drink.

It had its blue lights flashing but was just pootling up and down outside.

Did it actually pull in and talk to you after i'd gone ?

Great meet today . Good to see a lot of new faces and some of the regulars . A nice little drive and good food and company at the pub. Cheers to everyone for making it a good day and thanks to those who travelled some distance to attend .

Pete... a fully marked police Volvo pulled into the carpark and a wpc came over and had a chat. She seemed very friendly and, when asked, mentioned that apparently an off-duty policeman had reported there were a few scoobies about . She laughed when we reported seeing a certain green scooby "racing" about in front of the pub, but claimed it wasn't one from the Sussex force.

Pete,
Don't think the unmaked car wanted to give the game away so called for back up
We had a nice visit from a lurid yellow and blue Volvo (didn't like the colour myself) very friendly and sutble warning.

I think someone made a quipe about "the only Scoob we had seen racing was a green one that had been past a couple of times." At which point the conversation broke down into laughter and she wished us a pleasant day and left.

Thanks to all that turned up we had 21 attendees in all and another successfull meet.

Sorry still didn't get round everyone. Starship, were you there? Did we meet?

Thanks again,
Iain.

Ps. Wheres the photos?

Had a great day yesterday, lovely venue - big thanks to the guys for organising this, and inviting us down. Always good to meet even more people - sorry, but you WILL be seeing more of us

Keith & Julia - excellent photos (can't wait to see the video!).

The drive back home was excellent - loads of B roads (and some even smaller/one even repeated twice due to co-driver error ).

Dom got a veryyyy long drive of Andy's P1 (up and down part of the A21 three times!) much to his excitement - all I can hear ringing in my ears now is "I want one"

Thanks again - hope to see you all v.soon.

Kim & Dom

p.s. Joint Scoobysnacks/Dom's 30th meet next Sunday being organised (found a lovely pub on the way home - nr. Edenbridge - doing a reckkie of it one night this week - any excuse for a drive)

Thinking about the 'it doesn't belong to sussex' line, it probably doesnt. I'm guessing it comes from Godstone/Surrey traffic as i usually see that car on the M25, top of the m23, reigate/redhill areas.
