I've just put my 1st tank full through my wrx sti ra 1995.
I got 24 mpg from it
Very impressed really, the 1st 100 miles was me learning the car through the lanes
then next 80 was on the motorway (70-80 very gently) but with traffic.
This is on tesco 99 ron :d

5) wife drives on short trips - me 60 mile slow round trip once a week to fill up near work
Ave = 22 mpg
on one occasion - early good friday my cuz in an evo 8 and myself gave it a good tonking from Diss to Sizewell / back in record time and got less than 10 mpg average - (and ran out of fuel the next day!!) oh so rare those days with no traffic around.
expensive hobby these scoobs - its up for sale if anyones interested.

MY03 WRX totally standard
Mainly very short journeys (4m each way to work) on bypasses and through town centre.
Average over 2300miles = 22.8 (mostly optimax)
Best ever 25.3 over 280miles
Trouble for me is that on longer journeys which are few and far between I'm either on my own and hoofing it, or with the family which adds roof box and 4 mountain bikes to the back of the car. Either doesn't do the economy a lot of good.

bhp not sure but definately more than 240
on a good day about 18 to the gallon but i tried it out on backlanes after £10 went in. only did 8 miles in about 10 mins and had to refill again

i have a wrx 02 plate the fuel consumption was astrnomical!!!!!!!!! until i took it to deiselcraft and got it converted to deisel. im now doing 65mpg but not going very fast but it looks the bolloc?s. just sounds like a bag of spanners.

Yesterday did 352 miles to the light, filled it up ... 60 litres went in (yes to the decimal point) average 26.67.

circa 510bhp
lots of mods
normal use round town and a bit of country gets 21-23
normal aggressive use gets 16-18 ish
manic aggressive use gets me 8-10.

MY2001 UK Standard WRX
Usual average MPG per fill between fills is usually 26-28MPG.
Driving style is light as possible on the throttle and planning ahead to avoid pointless acceleration and braking, keeping to speed limits in built up areas but letting rip on deserted roman roads and pushing up the revs. Try to limit time when aircon on to where really necessary such as to clear misting up and motorway driving in hot weather where uncomfortable to have windows open.
Full range between 24-32MPG - with 24MPG end when my wife has also been driving the car and has used the car for a few stupid short journeys.
Often achieved 32MPG during holiday driving with no short journeys but a real mix of towns, country roads, long cruising on dual carriageways at 70-75ish, and fast bits on empty roads. Not bad really.

Pretty standard apart from induction kit and straight through exhaust. 240bhp maybe? Need to test.

70%/30% mix of light/heavy driving
Had the car three weeks and 3 full tanks so far have got me 29mpg, 26mpg and this last week averaged 31mpg, which after reading the rest of this thread I reckon is pretty good. I had a 2.0 Sport before and was getting slightly better mpgs although I had to push that car much harder. Driving the WRX has made me more conservative in a way, I know the power's there now so I'm not so heavy on the accelerator as I used to be.
