Fastest car Ive driven is one of those little 'Legend' racers - only something like 200bhp, but weights nothing, so over 400bhp/tonne and 60 in under 4. That was on a track tho.

On the road the most powerful would be an Audi TT Quattro Sport (240bhp) or WRX (240bhp).

Default Not in the spirit...but!

Did the dragster experience at Daytona. Its a short rail dragster, locked onto a straight track, Chevy V8 running on gas but alegedly putting out 350bhp. You floor it, and make a single push button gear change mid run. The time displayed at the end of the run was 0-75mph in 3.8 secs, it certainly felt mega quick.

As a passenger about 7 years ago, I did the Richard Petty race experience at the Disney oval track in Florida. That was in a detuned NASCAR race car (which the driver guessed was about 650bhp). I made the mistake of telling the driver I had a race car back home, and it he wanted to impress me he would have to scare me! - He did...big time! We blasted the pit road and by the time we braked for the first corner, we were doing 145mph; I totally left my seat at this point, the only thing keeping me in the car was the harness. Rest of the run was a blur, speedo moves at an alarming rate, every straight ended 150+. I use to take the **** out of NASCAR,... not any more...they rewrite the laws of physics.

So the most powerful car you've driven is a 400+bhp Scoob then. Somewhat confused at all these people posting bhp/ton figures -- the question is "Most powerful car you've driven"

I don't suppose the locos I drive with 3000hp/92000lb ft @900rpm qualify (seeing as they aren't cars!), so would be tuned audi s2 (both my own and others) varying from 350-450hp and torque to match.

Metro 6R4 - 400 odd BHP at 9000RPM and stopped to 60 in under 4 secs.

Maybe the car felt faster than it was - but a good day was had behind the wheel....

Quite simple really, people don't read/understand the first post/thread title properly.

Pretty clear to me the fastest car is NOT the most powerful....to others, they can't tell the difference

When I saw it I asked myself...what have I driven? In the grand scheme of things, sweet FA.
So when I found myself at mph-05 looking at the Thruxton Motorsport Center stand...it had to be done.
Ultimate supercar day: RX8 x3 laps, SLK x3 laps, 911 Turbo x4 laps, F430 x 4 laps, Murcielago x4 laps. Me driving and no nanny rev limits. Lot of money, but you cant take it with you, so what the heck. Cant wait!
