Hi Jake
We've been to Abingdon twice now and we purchased a cheap set of hard compound tyres which lasted both days - we're even keeping them as they may do one more day there but they're certainly not road legal anymore. The surface is tarmac and is not too abrasive - I think Colin ran SO2's/P0's (?) there for the day back in May and possibly Rich_R and they both drove home on them and they're a fairly soft compound but I wouldn't chance trashing mine on the track.
CAN EVERYONE BEAR IN MIND THAT THERE WILL BE ROADWORKS ON THE A34 SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE M4 AND ABINGDON SO YOU MAY NEED TO ALLOW A BIT MORE TIME TO GET THERE.
For those of you who need SUL - head into Abingdon from the A34 and there's an Esso station just by Tesco's (left rear pump).
See you all there.
Jo

Checked the weather forecast for Monday.
Rain in early morning clearing to broken sunshine in the afternoon. Winds, light
southerly.
PS. No guarantee for accuracy.
Hope it rains as it will stress my car
less and we are track virgins.

>> This will keep the flys and gnats down
After applying Waxwizard Merlin wax, I got plastered with bugs on Wed night, a quick wipe with warm water and sponge and they had all gone last night, no scrubbing at all.
V impressed!

Went across Exmoor the other day runing in the car, the front of the car was plastered with flys and gnats. Luckily my 1000 mile service was due, so my dealer washed the car.
Next car wash at 7,500 miles
Hi Jo, see you Mon. This new car is crap the MY00 is not a patch on my old MY98.
