I used to do the 8 miler. We often used to combine if with NBC training etc as well, which was fun, running part of it in respirator with some FB on a stretcher. Oh how I don't miss those!!

right, an update for you!!

'borrowed' a NEW stanley blade from work for a bit of DIY action...

its amazing how fooking stuborn toe nails are!! had to 'saw' the corner enough to weaken it then ripped it off with the nail clippers!! lots of blood!!

didnt have any antisepctic so sprayed my aftershave on it, 82% vol should do the trick!

that fecking stung!!

found the problem, looks like there was ANOTHER nail growing underneath!?!

must of been pushing the top one over to the right...

pain has gone pretty much gone now (compared to before anyway!) and feels much more comftable, prob just a temporary relief though.

might hack away at it again later, was quite satisfying hacking away at the source of all my pain!

made me wince when i saw the bit that was sticking into my skin, was as sharp as the blade i was using!

should of done before and after pics!! oh well, can do an after if you really want!!

See how the NHS works...no waiting time and the operation was completed in the comfort of your own home.

For the record I had to use some pliers once I had cut some of the nail away Almost instant relief, after it smarting slightly during the 'operation'

Ahem, i thank you <takes a bow>

Did you use the stella artois or skunk based anaesthetic i suggested?
Aftershave is a interesting substitute, i suppose you can always neck the voddie to further ease the pain.

Glad you're sorted, grab yourself a large portion of smug face

Ooo that's nasty. Can't believe the doctors or local hospital wouldn't sort that out sharpish.
