Hmmm, has anyone done a comparison between their 330 Kit:
http://www.wrc-tech.co.uk/subaru-04sti-WRC330.htm

And the TSL333 ?? That would be interesting reading. Especially as the WRC Tech conversion is over £300 cheaper.

**** me sideways I had no idea you could get that sort of power from a 'uk' turbo, I only thought the twin scrolls could reach that-very impressive. Now wheres the trader for standard UK 9's If only

Andy,
It's not all about peak figures as in isolation they dont mean a fat lot. You try comparing the entire graph from a twin scroll to a UK car (especially up to 4.5k-5k..... then the benefits of a twin scroll become clearer!

Regardless though...... figures for a UK car are very good!

Regards,
Shaun.

Interesting. So the 333 & chargecooler (which their demo car is) didn't feel as quick as the wrc350. Hmmm....

(Must save harder!!)

it makes more torque by using more fuel. its one of the basic principles of engines.

if you run a 250ftlb engine at full load next to a 350ftlb engine at full load and measure the two rates of fuel use the 350lbft engine will consume fuel at a faster rate. assuming they are running the correct and same air/fuel ratio (which they would be to meet emissions)

Don't std cars over fuel anyway, so a sensible remap may not see vastly decreased mpg.

I would love some more torque and driveability from my STi PPP but don't want a non standard looking underbonnet. Would not a re-map with the use of a free flowing panel filter give worthwhile gains? I would not dismiss the bigger intercooler if I thought it would give positive advantage over the standard STi unit, but I don't particularly want the induction kit.
Who has had a re-map on an otherwise standard PPP?

I'm guessing @ £600 for a re-map and 3 port thingy.
Apart from that std and 320hp.

Just what I have read on here.

I too had the WRC330 fitted to my standard STi-8 Type UK, made 344.9bhp and 360ft/lb.

Now fitted the Andy.F 18g hybrid turbo with remap by him also to about 380bhp / 380ft/lb..... just even more lairy than before!

Next up FMIC, parallel fuel lines and coilovers

I am in the same position. Would like a bit more from the ppp but don't want to change the intercooler and dont want the noise from the induction kit. I was thinking of putting a green panel filter in and having the TSL 333 remap. Should see some improvement over standard ppp.
