Nice to see the work appreciated, thanks guys. As Mark will confirm, the suspension and chassis mods are much more beneficial than extra power making a humble WRX PPP much faster on road than even mod'd STi PPP's in many situations, and retaining the reliability of a standard car.

Just starting my spring fettle with a clay bar, ScratchX, Meguiars NXT and topped off with the best high Carnuba content wax, Simoniz Original. Bonnet done and looking like blue glass just another 4-5 days work to do the rest

Superb mate No more of that bobbing from the back end on tricky roads and supreme body control. I use them on setting 1 or 2 around town which retains plenty of comfort and compliance, albeit a little firmer than OE on poorer surfaces. The ability to stiffen it all up in a couple of minutes is great though. If I know I'm heading somewhere fun then I move up to 4-5 in wet/damp conditions or 6-7 in the dry. Haven't gone any higher as I don't feel the need, but maybe on track the stiffest settings would be useful. I did start playing with having the rear stiffer to try and dial in some more exciting characteristics and get the tail out, but body control is now so good it was easier to be a hooligan with the OE stuff. Much prefer feeling how stable and poised the car is now in high speed corners rather than trying to get the back end out all the time.

Good one mate, do you happen to know what spring rates you have front and rear..?

BTW I take it damper adjustment is done via top of the strut..?

I don't know the full spec of what I have as it was liberated from a mates car prior to him trading it in. Was supplied and fitted to his by Powerstation, then transferred to mine by me and the geometry done by the guy who does Williams F1 cars The adjustment of damping is indeed done via ***** at the strut tops which are easilly accessable under the bonnet for the fronts, and the rears have extention shafts which allow the ***** to protrude from behind the rear seats.

@corradoboy, LOVE the car (Looks almost like mine ), I am treating my MY05 WRX PPP to the full PorterCable experience at a friends detailing shop on Sunday too.

Anyway, back to my question...You list "Full De-Tango'd Headlights with LED Indicators" as a mod, can you give me more information on this please (Did you just fit these LED Bulbs that have sprung up on the market etc)?

TIA from a fellow (Possibly soon to be WYIOC Member) Yorkshireman...

Dan, the LED's are a little trickier than a straight fit. They draw so little current that the flasher relay goes into hyperflash as if a bulb has failed. To get around this you need to fit a resistor between the wires behind each light fitting. Simple job with 2 scotchclips, but it can be difficult getting the correct resistor. I can source all the bits for you for IRO £30 for the fronts and £40 to do the lot. It's only slightly more expensive than the silvered bulbs, but at least on a sunny day people will see you indicate and not drive straight up your @rse.

Are you aware of how to do the detango to the headlight, as it can seem a little ridiculous at first ? I've done 5-6 now, and it always beggers belief The headlight has to be removed, stripped down and then placed in an oven

Do you know it's the WYIOC monthly meet tonight at The Foxglove, Huddersfield ? Pop along and you can check mine out and meet the gang. There's also the trackday coming up the weekend after next

How much is the detailing job, as I was gonna buy a PC myself but at £220 for something you may use once or twice a year, it may be better to just pay someone else

Staying as it is until after some fun at the weekend and a trip to Devon when it will get one more try in Autotrader before all the good bits come off and get sold to mates, and then it will probably sell straight away to some clueless **** who'll stick Lexus lights and a dump valve on it and think it's well modified. I despair at the general public, who wouldn't know quality if it pissed in their eye. Same people who put Crazy Frog at number one though

Still here if anyone is interested, and now reduced to £11,750.

Mileage now at 55k with a fresh oil change last week (Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL 5W40, genuine Subaru filter and new compression washer). Still gleaming following the detailing session with Steve Graves. An offer at or very near the full asking will secure the car as is, the spare STi alloys (unmarked and worth over £900+vat from dealers) with RE070's (£166 each from dealers), a spare set of RE070's (work it out ), some yet to be fitted STi corner aero splitters.

As before, I am not desperate to sell so please don't make any silly offers. Everyone who's seen this car agrees it is an awesome machine, modified intelligently to create an outstandingly fast road car with supreme handling whilst retaining the legendary Subaru reliability.

sell all removable bits, return the car to standard, review the asking price and you may have better luck.
