The acronyms EDM & USDM were made up by people who did not understand what JDM meant.

BVM: Im going to point out what a **** you are again here because Im not in the mood for an ignorant f*ckit coming the c*nt with me. Corvettes are manufactured by General Motors, an American company; so obviously their home market cars could be referred to as USDM but what the f*ck does that have to do with Subarus?
Dude you are a fu*king retard. Manufactures produce cars for several markets and the general, accepted term, for any given car for what ever market is J (japan), US (USA) E (europe) etc. Get your head out of your *** and slap some mo' bling on your JDM joint yo. God help us if the term "JDM" gets tainted. Its so over used anyway.

Yes but your mailbox is full. Short of putting notes on the cars I see on base, I dont know what you would do. As mentioned above, you could try contacting several of the import companies and try to get your hands on a USDM Sti, that way. Does it have to be an STi? What about a WRX?

The only US orientated Subaru is the Tribeca, the rest of the range are in fact heavily orientated towards the Japanese/Asian markets (witness the dimensions of the Impreza, Legacy & Forester, which fits exactly into Japanese tax categories).

Thanks for the update on the GM situation - I did not see that news.

I am not sure I quite agree on your comments on design for the Asian markets. Overall the US is a critical market for Subaru and a number of cars are clearly designed and have been redesigned for US tastes - the Legacy being the most obvious. They have also been engineered for US tastes as well with cars such as the 2.5 Sti which was developed in North America. The very car that Ante wants.

My original point being that domestic market does not have such a narrow definition as was being pointed out.

Back on topic I would prefer to stick with the 2.0l car for the moment as the 2.5l is not all that it has been cracked up to be. Its not bad, its just not the Snake Oil that is seems to be being sold as.
