C`mon folks...what turbo to go for.

Hybrid TD04
FE TD05
Or just go for it and get a 20g...

Bearing in mind the car has a good few miles on it though...

Woohoo! Welcome back to the madhouse.

Glad you are back on track. I would say it would all depend on what you are after. If you have the sti higher rev limit i would say 20g but the 16g makes for a fast car anyway. The hybrid is good if you don't want to trouble your gearbox too much and it spools up almost instantly.

I have an sti5 bottom end now with sti3 heads with a 20g so should be good as the sti valvetrain wil cope.

Thanks Stuart.

They all have they`re plus and minus points..
I was just very tempted to go for JohnST`s 20g.

But then, with the 20g, i would probably be better off with 550`s...hence more spending etc..
Which aint what i`m after... i just want a nice power/torque boost.

Am waiting to hear back about a 16g, as that would give me what i`m after,
but then, the hybrid 04 would make for a quick road car, albeit not having huge power to boast about that i`d like. lol

So that narrows it down...

16g or 04 !

How do you find it ?

I had a VF30 on my last UK turbo, which i liked, and i expect the 35 has similar characteristics ?

Can't comment on the 30 but i'm enjoying the 35. Lag is not worse than the TD04 but the kick is much harder and pulls right through to the red line.
Tek3, FMIC, Wallbro, k&n, and full decat on top of the turbo = 313/300 at Scooby Clinic
