Actually going to be following this quite closely.. Thinking of getting shot of my MY00 Modified and just going for a P1 with a new engine with the following mods.

STI8 Intercooler
Gruppe S Headers
2.5" Exhaust Straight-Through
Standard Airbox with Filter
Parrallel Fuelling
Samco Induction Hose
Samcos all round
SX Reg

Turbo is undecided. Simular route to yourself. Prob something daft I missed out! Obviously a remap

Almost identical mods.

I did have one of Andys 20g's, but the place where i kept all my stuff got broken into, and they took everything i had, 2 turbos, fuel pumps...and other stuff i had sitting.

Hence why my spec aint that high !

Kael, I'd add an 18g with that lot.

Infact scrub that thought....

Just gonna stick with the 16g, it'll be more than enough for my setup.

Thanks Floyd.

My plan just went to pot! Just bought a Jap Spec 03 STI.

Mind if I ask a few questions on here Johnny or shall I start a new thread?

Working along simular lines here to you Johnny, but now I have a STI it comes with a few things I don't need to buy like:
- Injectors
- Intercooler
- 6 Speed

It already has a Blitz Exhaust on it from centre to back. Bit loud but will do until I change it for a Scoobysport system. Had one before and liked it as wasn't too OTT.

VF35 turbo as standard. Want to change this probably to an 18G? If I decat completely to 3", Gruppe S Headers, Decent Uppipe and a remap should be a rather quick road car should it not?

Any other ideas?

Yes!

Fuel pump, panel filter, lose the resonator and that should do it

Floyd...

Would you recommend losing the resonator in a classic ?

565cc Injectors as standard.... Worth putting an SX Regulator on it or not bother?

Your original 16G can be converted into an 18G.
No need for a FPR unless the injectors are running out of duty but this should not be an issue with an uprated pump.

I'd still lose the original res on a classic as it is under 2.5" bore iirc

Been looking for an inlet temp gauge, where would I get it? Would prefer 52mm round gauge fitting.

I use a MY01 Prodrive BB presently. I can't say how the flow differs but it's good for 330+bhp on mine and quiet.

I have found the prodrive backbox to be fine up to circa 330 bhp and then it seems to hit a brick wall, looking at the ID I can only assume it chokes the exhaust at this level.

Worth a try but the ppp is really nice n' quiet
When you take the ppp back box off the vf35's they boost creep like hell, that says it all regards the backpressure building up in my opinion.

Should be fine with the 16G mate plus your main target is torque and a strong midrange rather than peak numbers.

Me too !

It's all just gonna have to wait now.

Really gutted, as all that was left to be done were turbo and mapping.

Not to worry, guess i'll need to hold my horses for now.

And if anyone has a job or quick rich scheme for me, let me know.
