If you know what you're doing a mid engined car can help induce a drift, all you have to do once you've caught the wayward **** end is to keep it out there It can if you know what you're doing be easier to use than a handbrake, feint, shift lock or other such techniques. It all depends on Luck, skill and most importantly practice

I don't dispute this for a second...i chose the mk1 mr2 as a suggestion due to the rediculously cheap money you can pick these up for (initial post stated £300) and the fact that it is rear wheel drive....annnnd....i know that they drift no problem...just needs different technique as stated before.

very popular here in Ireland are the old 1600cc 4 A GE toyota corolla twin cams, 1984 to 1987, expensive for the age of them but they are great engines made for donuts and drifitng!

2nded on the rwd corolla twin cams, hachi rokus rule big time

and as for the mid engine drifting being harder, yes the way the car drifts is harder you definately need to be quick with the opposite lock to catch it but drifting can be done very easy, once you got the know how.

Hoping to do an engine swap over the winter, once I get my garage built.
I managed to pick up two 3.0 24v motors on e-bay, one for £75 and one for £25!

Vauxhall Nova with Peco big bore, sunstrip, Koni lowing springs and halfords alloys with 20 amps and subs in the boot. You wont go far wrong. Pick one up at your local Mcdonalds.

Next drift day is Saturday 19th November 2005 @ Oulton Park. Loads of run-off space, and a nicely polished and lubricated circuit to play on.

We bought a couple of old 530i's- no LSDs on board, but we had an absolute ball in them at Ty Croes last weekend. One cost us £175, the other £131, both on ebay

LMAO @ "Thin Ins G", makes me laugh every time I hear that

Can't afford a CSL as I have three kids to feed, and tbh crashing a CSL in to two different trees wouldn't be nearly as much fun as doing it in a £130 530i

I would recommend my Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max pick up.
Seems to like drifting quite a lot.

I have a Rodeo Denver Max, quite funny on big alloys

We've had it on the drift circuit at Oulton, but I was rather concerned about dropping a wheel in the mud and rolling it.....
