Yeah i know what your saying, did that road at night and had a few close calls with deer, it is best in daylight without a doubt.

Blandford to Salisbury (sweeps, swoops and long fast stretches), then Salisbury to Popham via Stockbridge, Sutton Scotney and old forgotten bit of A30 (a good old Roman Road). Not exactly demanding I know but when it's quiet, the empty road stretches out for as far as you can see, and for a few minutes you are 'King of the Road'.

Odiham to Chichester via Alton, Selbourne and over the South Downs on the B roads (not A3) is also pretty good and well varied with nice scenery.

Really want to take the scoob over to Isle of Man and onto those fast roads through the Scottish Highlands.

Nice one - but some may be tempted to chicken out and take the toll road....maybe if you think you might blow it on the hairpin with a sudden attack of the old clutch judder.

seen a couple of green classics up that way, but watch for the odd speed camera van up there now!!!!!!!
and the helicopter!!!

I'll sign up for that too! Doing about 80 over the Black Mount one night and car behind gets the blues and twos going, pulls us over... Didn't say a thing about speed, but warned us to keep an eye out for deer!

Oh, and there's some great dirt roads in Australia too, but the kangaroos are twenty times worse than Scottish deer!

Unclassified road from A896 to Applecross has to be seen to be believed. There is a mountain pass section on ther which could be in the Alps

That will be Bealach Na Bah, Pass of the Cattle, reputedly the steepest road in UK, narrowly ahead of Hardknott Pass and some ? Chimney road in Yorkshire. Done the first two, not the last, for sheer fright try em all, for scenery and magnificence try the road around Loch Erriboll near Cape Wrath in the Far North West of Scotland, probably the most scenic detour you will never mind taking.

Yep all he way to Trawsfynd.
I had the utter misery of driving that road in the fog once crawling at 40 mph behind an artic and couldnt overtake because visibility was barely 150 yds.

I will be using it bonfire weekend

The A635 between Holmfirth and Oldham. I have the pleasure of taking this road every Friday night and Monday morning. There's never any police or cameras, and very few wagons or any other traffic as they all seem to take the Woodhead pass. It's got loads of nice twisty bits and a couple of good straights. It was this bit of road that convinced me to take the plunge and get a scooby. One Friday night, about a year ago, I was going just under a ton in my old BMW when a green classic came roaring past me.

I agree the a82 from glasgow to inverness is the best road in UK no doubt. Although i prefer to go on the south road of lochness when you reach fort augustus. And im from Manchester too!

Buttertubs Pass here in the Yorkshire Dales. It's really not that far from me yet I've never been up it. Will have to fix that sometime

B9007 from Carrbridge to Forres. Used to drive it regularly and at night, PIAA make a great driving light. Flat in 5th at some points, 3rd and 4th the rest. 19 miles in 13 minutes including the slow down for Ferness village. During the day you can see for miles right across the Dava moor. Fantastic.
