Iain, ultimately more torque and power, and better utilisation of the 2.5 that will rev to 7800rpm. The target was a safe/easy 400/400, and it was considered that the 05/06 would be being pushed very hard to achieve this.

Will be interesting to compare it to its previous RR readout.

As for twin plates, i am thinking more along the lines of fit and forget over the single paddle. A single paddle needs driving far more carefully when not under full pressure.

 

The paddle on my 911 'welded' itself to the flywheel on the startline a few years ago. Freed-off after cooling down...
It shredded the flywheel in 12 month.

Ha ha, that box on ebay was taken off the listing by the owner. I had emailed him about year of box/postage etc but he never got back to me and when i went to ebay this evening it had ended. Shame as i was going to bite the bullet and snap it up but maybe its best off just getting a new box built for peace of mind. Might even be an idea to run my current box till it goes pop!lol.

Cars now off the road in prep for next season when (and if) i get the time off work. Decided to keep the 4.44 cwp's and see how it goes. 2.5L lump now with the addition of apexiFC, 255 fuel pump, hks headers, hks fmic, h&s/apexi 3"decat turbo back, aps cold air intake, billet f/w, paddle clutch, hks top mounts, arbs d.links anti lift kit etc on route, tdo6 20g and 740's after xmas. Might not be in league with the top runners but will still give a nice big grin factor to drive. As the saying goes, its all about the taking part....

All that needs decided on now is whether to keep the 16's or go to 17's so i can fit some nice new ap or kad 335 6 pots (current ones cr*p!) and which shocks to go for.....

 

I still run my stock brakes....

For the 'gentle' road use and the hard hill climbs they work well (!) Have never faded or failed to stop me.
I can thus use 16'' rims which are lighter and offer a far greater source of tyre compounds. Go to 17's and you end-up with track tyres only.

Also a set of AP's = a 6 speeder.
