MY99 vs Prodrive
#63
A question for Prodrive Mike!
Do you still do a PPP for a MY96? and is it cheaper?
I'm after a full SS system and was also wondering if the Prodrive chip could be bought seperately for this car.

Simon Lines is right for 99MY/00MY PPP
The center section has no cat....which means
a PPP car has only one cat...which is on the downpipe....removing this gives more power but alas warranty will be void depending on what u claim for....
There is no filter change

You can fit any Prodrive kit and it will not affect your warranty, that's the main reason it costs more.
In terms of what kit you get for your money, the value isn't that bad. For an MY00 you get ECU, intercooler piping, centre-section & back-box exhaust pipes. I priced up a Power Engineering + ScoobySport equivalent pack once, it came to around £1200 (didn't bother with either in the end!), so an extra £800 to keep your warranty and to get something back when you sell it. 2nd hand cars with non-Prodrive bits are not worth as much as those with the "kosher" upgrades.
Whether £2000 is worth it for the power/torque increase is up to the individual.
