Tony,

what car do you reckon it is then mate ??, it has the OE roof vent so it may be something more than a Normal STi,early Spec C maybe

I know you guys will spot every little detail but i would like to know what car it is.

Cheers.

I think its a standard STi.

If it was a Spec C, why bother trying to claim it as an S202?!

There is no rear wash wipe either, thought all JDM cars had this???, but there is no UK model that has the OE roof vent AFAIK, It must be a made up car then!!!

Any other ideas guys???

Roof vent could be stick on job or been fitted afterwards.

S202's do not have rear wash wipe, the item is too heavy!

Most JDM's do have rear wash wipe though.

Honest truth?
Im not sure, its a match of JDM Spec C shell, UK front lights, no rear fog (though it can be fitted in), battery..... will need to look at mine but that one looks too big for a spec c/S202.
Chances are its had a crash and been rebuilt, but not an S202 or a Spec C as i can not see the engine oil cooler either.....
Also wing mirrors are painted and notice how there are no real pictures of the interior?

I had this car off the Trade Centre and returned it as the gearbox synchromesh was shot in 4th and 5th gears they sorted the gearbox and sold it on to another trader (the guy selling it on ebay) the car is very quick but I would say not S202 quick all the interior looks correct and if the roof vent has been fitted the roof interior is correct as well I think it has been in a smash as the car has had a complete respray (not a good one either) another reason I returned it the V5 has just arrived as there was not one with it and shows me as the 6th owner since import in 2004 (V5 passed on to current seller) I got my money back as the goods were unfit for use (as per trade descriptions) in my opinion people should stay well clear I have informed the current seller of these details but I would not say he was particularly interested.

Hi Rasher, I have spoken to you before earlier in the year. I bought a yellow
S202 in January and was supposed to put up some pics. I absolutely love the car. I am buying a really nice digital camera, and putting up a website so I will have a lot of pics for you, and all the other rally cars that my friends own. I remember you telling me you had the Optimax conversion done to your ECU. I live in Antigua in the Caribbean, and I'm coming up to the UK next month. Is this upgraded ECU something I can buy or do they need to tune it in the car? I know the car has an air flow meter so I assume if I got an Optimax ECU tuned for race fuel and 22psi of boost, it should be able to run safely. Please let me know your thoughts as I really want to be careful. Also, I assume I will have to put in a boost gauge also right?

Last night a friend of mine who has the other S202 on the island decided to turn up his boost to 19psi (well that's what he said), and took the car to the quarter mile track. He has turned up the boost before and has done a 12.4, but this time he missed third gear and ended up damaging the engine. I assume he has burnt a piston as the car must have been running too lean. We are not supposed to turn up the boost unless we have an upgraded computer right?

Let me know
Thanks
Mike
