Just so you guys don't get confused like I did initially on the Rare Rims site you will not find them listed as Tarmac II's they are called GRA now.

Cool! As long as you didn't get a much better deal than me, otherwise I would have been sick! ha ha

Have to compare photos when we get them! Can't wait!
Depends how long it takes for them to get to Cyprus! Anticipation is killing me!

No, I live in the British Controlled part of Cyprus, so no import tax! I will be in Wales on about 2 Jan 06. Need to get a meet organised for Jan.

Should have my wheels by then as well. Just ordered some McGard Thatcham approved locking wheel nuts from www.Revolution.eu.com to prevent them being nicked.

Can I point out a large flaw in this?

If MIDLAND WHEELS are selling 18" wheels, then they ARE NOT rota wheels..

I dont want to discuss on a public forum, but due to certain reasons, Rota refused to sell them more wheels.

They may have a few Rotas still for sale, ANY other wheels they claim to be ROTA's (ie anything not 17") DEFINATLY wont be.

They WILL NOT, as they have told more than one person, 'be made in the same factory as Rota'

They will either:

a) not as strong
b) not as light
C) a combination of a) and b)

Happy to help

That clears that one up then! Obviously not knowing what is happening I as the customer would just ring round for the best price from multiple retailers and as they were listed previosly on SN, should I find a really good one am always to share the info.

Sorry if any confusion caused.

SDR's are only available in 17" at the present time..

Tarmac II's

Formula Mesh

Well the courier couldn't find the British Forces Post office in London, so he returned them to Rare Rims. Julians sent them out with a different courier yesterday. Don't know when they will arrive.

Get pics up as soon as you put them on!

I need to paint my Grubby Brake Calipers as well now!

So I guess it is OK to have 7.5" wide rims on a classic then?
Some older threads I searched for were suggesting that 7.5" is not ideal. Do these Rota jobs rub anywhere if you are heavily loaded or going over speed bumps etc?

Lads you can get Rotas from www.undergroundraceuk.com and the prices on the website have just been slashed too (cheaper than rarerims and Midland), email or call for new prices , also if you want to do a GB thats no problem , light wieght forged wheel nuts now available aswell.

Personally I do not buy anything from sites that do not list their prices.

I'm running low and they look ok for clearance on mine... 48 off set with a 215/35/18

Sneak preview

I'll get a better run of pics up when I clean the car and we have some sunshine... maybe tomorrow weather permitting.
Great quality finish.... getting used to the look of the tyres being like elastic bands here

Yes on H&R springs and original shocks.
The springs are advertised as a -50mm drop in reality the car dropped by
25-30mm from standard turbo springs.

I had them here Motorsportworld
