Thumbs up

All RAs are 4 DOOR! Not Type-R's!

They are completely different with different torque splits and gearing etc.

Can you put a pic up please and close ups of the RA badge.
I'm not saying I don't believe you, I would really like to see one.
If this is true I stand corrected.
Seems every book written on Scoobys is wrong. As do the full model listings from Subaru and STi.

Where's that definitive guide when you need it?

According to the book, there are only 3 Type-R models:

WRX Type-R
WRX Type-R STi
WRX Type-R STi V-Limited

I would go take a pic of my mates one outside, but I don't know how to post pics up.
Not strictly true i have a Version 6 WRC Ltd Edition Type RWITH A ROOF VENT.

Well I never!

So whats the difference between that and a Type-R?
Are you sure that 'Type-RA' sticker hasn't just been stuck on by the previous owner?!!!!

Basically, the Type RA has even shorter gearing that the Type R IIRC. My Type R was the typical 4k rpm at 80mph which seems the norm for the Type R. Not sure that there is much else different. Som RA's came without a/c and other niceties. Leons rear spoiler is definitely a V6 one though!

Additionally, I think that the RA's had/have naff blue seat covering, but not sure if that's the same on all of them. Could just be the "special" versions

I reckon that Subaru just looked at whatever was in the parts bin and made up a fancy name for most of their cars! LOL

Cheers Banny. Is the blue badge right? I fitted mine in a hurry because I didn't want a fake STI badge on a non-sti. Should it be black or blue?

Look here mate to see what Ive decided for the RA.

I'm going to kill this post now because it's confusing the hell out of people. Would you mind putting the RA related stuff in here

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=447809

as ever, thanks Banny.

It comes standard with a black badge, the blue badge was bought from flea bay. Do you want the black badge? may still have it knocking about somewhere.

You really are sound mate! Nice one

End of thread please. Too much mis-information making the whole thing even more confusing.

Thank you.
