There 2 raw for some but certainly as Evo mag said, one of the best handling front wheel drive cars about. Far superior to the newer Civic type R
Certainly is

Having lots of fun with it just 'out the box'

EP3 CTR isn't a real Type R IMO, just have to see how many are made/are about, give me EK9 CTR, ATR or DC2/DC5 ITR anyday (like the JDM EP3 CTR's though)

Audi A3 3.2 DSG, they seem to hold their money well, but not sure whether this will continue in the longer term.
Very plush inside, lovely to drive, though maybe a bit boring if you're after something to bomb down B roads in.

Errrr ok you tell me which AM or Fezza he is going to get for £25k? Remember in the original post that you refer to he says he wants a 'plush' motor. AMs and Fezzas at that price will not even have PAS!

Someone wants a plush car with acceptable running costs and you recommend a 15 year old Ferrari. Nice one!!

c'mon now, keep it nice and read the posts He said that running costs were NOT an issue (although I'm sure a Ferrari will change his mind on that score ). I also mentioned rolls & bentleys, you don't get much plusher than that. AM DB7's 'may' be had for his budget (barely/just though) and regardless, most AM's from the last 20 years are fully leathered up and have pas iirc. as do ferraris (not sure on pas though but many are light and don't need it).

He can get 348's for his budget as well as many Mondials, 308/328, 400, testarossas etc. He could 'almost' get a DB7 as they are in the late 20's at the moment. Apart from that there's a fair selection of the Virages and V8's. Nice Bentley Turbo R's for around £25k too.

Anyway, they were only examples of nice cars that won't depreciate much, and there's not much that'll depreciate less than the examples I gave and as this is a thread about low depreciators, I thought I'd throw them in the pot. And as he said, he wants something 5 years old or so but he stated this AFTER I replied so

Not many Bentley Rs less than 10 years old for £25k, but plush yes. Would seem less than common sense to want to limit deprec and then spend £100 a week on gas!

I would not describe a 348/308/328 as plush. No PAS, no ABS, very uncomfortable driving position. If you put 'normal' mileage ie 10k a year it will deprec. As for them being light and so not needing PAS, try parking one!! Build quality on some poor.

Take your point but for someone wanting plush and limited deprec a 10yr old AM, Fezz, Bentley would not seem the answer to me.

Did'nt mean to sound arsey if thats the way it came across

MCoupes have almost gone UP in the last 2 yrs.

Cult car, not made any more.

The new one, when it comes out, will be mechanically far superior. But will it have those F U Muthafuka looks?

Cheers for the suggestions so far guys.....I'm looking for an everyday car, so sadly that precludes anything like a 348 etc....

Ive just had another brainwave.....a BMW X5 3.0d.......I know the image isnt the best, but I can live with a bad image if it means cheapy motoring for a year!
