he's been banned on scoobynet,
i do mean the roof spoilers, i know most of you are getting the waist ones though
on silvia pictures you see the foot plate of the top spoiler is blank but on the one benno posted it has recesses in so i don't see how you can follow his instructions

Benno has a different make of replica roof spoiler, I however have a Silvia one. I'll take some pics of the mounting positions and the underneath and post them later. It's not going to be an easy job to get it to fit, but should be worth the effort.

OK here we go, fitted yesterday, good alignment of all the bolt holes, there is a small (2mm) gap between the spoiler mounts and the boot in some places, I am just going to run some black silicon in it when I get a chance. I used silicon around all the bolt holes to keep the water out.

After

It's looking good, silver / anthracite wheels are a nice combination.

Still haven't got mine sprayed, or even ordered the paint and it's still not running right
I thought I cured it but the boost problem has returned. When it worked it worked well, even pulling strongly in fifth when it was on turbo. Got some Samco's on order and may even get a new boost solenoid (after checking the pipework is clear) to see if that sorts it. Definately a leak, partial blockage or faulty solenoid.

I can beat that; I have a second hand TEK3 ecu installed and am having to drive off boost until it gets remapped...I still haven't even been able to speak to PatH so have no idea when its gonna get done. This is my daily drive so after nearly three weeks I'm starting to go a little crackers

You can't see the spoiler through the rear view mirrors, also something the painter pointed out was that these are GRP and not fibreglass, this should make them cheaper to get painted as the fibreglass ones can be a bit of a nightmare to paint apparently.

I managed to source the genuine STi items in the right colour at the right price, hence I now have a pair of these spoilers bought in the group buy that are surplus to requirements.

If anyone is intetested please send me a PM or post on the thread in the for sale section here.

thanks

best bet is do a search on group buys for wagon spoilers and contact the distributor...

They are pretty good quality but there are some ripples in the top flat surface and they feet do not sit completely flat on the boot lid...but i am **** about details so i may be exaggerating

Hi all - scooby newbie here in Leeds

I just bought a MY53 GX wagon. It's got a little lip of a roof spolier as standard. I notice the standard WRX rear roof spolier version is a little bigger and looks better. Just wondering if any of you 03-05 WRX wagon owners have a spare one going, having upgraded to a larger roof spoiler?

ha no point mate, they are a waste of time. They have for starters increased prices on the waist spoilers and also have become reluctant to reply to people from UK regarding them. Its strange since there would have been so many people interested.

Anyways there is a guy on ebay who is selling them. I got mine for 99 dollars + $98 shipping to UK + $2 insurance. Worked out at 114 pounds.

Check them out, the sellers name is jdmparts06

cheers

Could you please pm details regarding the spoiler fittings/quality etc
Pictures would be great if your have them both sides (under & top).
How long did it take for the spoiler to arrive.

Thanks Ticky
