All the best, Graham (Hepy)
A quick question for anyone who happens to be reading. Is there any benefit in upgrading the fuel pump before I get the remap done? If so is it easy to do, and do I need to fit a new pressure regulator also, or is the standard one ok?
Hi I may be intrested in the above, it depends on the date(s) as the car has to be registered, alarmed (Thatcham cat1) and it being resprayed and undersealed at the moment.
Im in the midlands what is the location of andys visit.
Cheers Dawg

Scoobywoo - Your details were not on the list Money sent me. If you can drop me an email with details, there is another car in your area that can possibly share the travel costs.
Dean - I will hold the price at £550 on EcuTeK until the end of Sept (dates avail from mid sept) but sadly I'm forced into vat registration from the 1st Oct.
Hepy - I would recommend a Walbro 255 fuel pump. You will be ok on the std regulator with your current spec. If you are planning any further upgrades in the future then I would also fit an SX regulator. Fuel pump is easy to change, just use the original inlet 'sock' filter as it is better than the one supplied with the Walbro.
ScoobyDawg - Currently a visit to the London area, the other cars so far are travelling to me.
cheers
Andy

From: South Wales, Scoobless, Type R is gone!
Andy - Buying a turbo and downpipe at the end of the month and then got to get it fitted. Could i pay up front (before 1st of Oct) then get it done a bit later??
ScoobyDawg - Also don't want to travel all the way to scotland. So how do feel about going somewhere between the midlands and south wales and split the travelling costs?? Sounds like your cars not going to be ready for a while yet either.

Hi Guys, just had Andy over to Dublin a few weeks ago to remap my Forester and have not stopped laughing since. The best value for money ever! Best of luck, you wont regret it.

Went and viewed the car last fri, its nearly finished, just a few externals to put on and even less to spray (rear boot spoiler & spot light covers). If its finished this week then next week will be the Cat1 alarm (expensive or what). after that its the ECU.
Andy F. Thanks for the reply, what else may I need to change; car details are:1998 WRX type R, V-Limited, 2door, cat flat in roof, RA Gearbox, open deck, VF 22 Turbo, Light weight fly wheel & cusco clutch - std 300 bhp on 100 oct fuel, cat-back exhaust system 3'.
The cars had an engine rebuild - STI9 crank & bearings, Eagle rods, JE pistons, uprated oil pump, etc.
Q. Fuel pump change apply to the car.
I need to change the Air filter for a green panel one and I think the flow meter off the air intake box may be playing up.
I would like reliability over track performance, I dont want another rebuild, 300 bhp or slighly more on Optimax would be great.
TurboDean. I'll keep in touch thanks for you note.
