Possibly just people being justifiably jumpy. Seems it is contained to London then?!

My missing friend is ok, I am so relieved.

Another friend has decided to go home. She is going to walk (Liverpool street to Hornchurch) I bet she is glad she is fit.

Just got to find out now which of my 4 fireman relatives are working today (all based in london).

BBC has found a website where al-Queada claims responsibility. Or a group related to al-Queada.

ID Cards would of stopped this? Will it bollocks!!! Deport them all, close all doors to known terrorist country's, don't let anymore F*ckers in and Lets hope the onboard cameras on the busses caught these cowards faces so the hunt can begin.

I know the French were pissed they didn't get the 2012 Olympics but this is just going too far.....

Being a native of Belfast one thing I can say is that terrorism is about making people terrified, with minimum risk to your operation, and hitting the media hard. Therefore it sounds (and I've not heard anything other than a brief report on this) that they have achieved their goal and there is little benefit in further expenditure in terms of people or resources on the part of the terrorist. With this in mind we can only hope that the spate of explosions was designed for maximum impact and that the violence is now over, in all likelyhood this will be the case as there is little value to the terrorist in more explosions when they have already caused terror and grabbed the headlines.

So, for what it's worth and for those people in London or with friends in London the chances are that the explosions will probably not continue as the terrorists have done what they consider to be their job.

That Blair is speaking on the matter in a "state of shock" is a bit of an act when he entertains Irish terrorists in Number 10, how long before he is shaking hands with the people who did this awful act?

I hope everone on here and all their friends and realitives are OK because this is a most terrible thing to face for anyone.

I work right above Liverpool st stn and we're being told to stay put in the office as they don't want thousands of people to spill out on to the street with no way of getting home !!!.And yes it apperas UBS have evacuated along with a few others

getting coverage from Sky News, CNN & BBC World - first rumours seem to be power surges, which may have been caused by the explosions - but it was the report of the bus exploding that seems to have pointed media attention to a co-ordinated terrorist attack.

Being suggested also that everybody went to use their cellphones and overloaded the system - nothing more sinister than that.

And reports about AL Quaeda are coming from the Al Jazeera website.

Sorry for you over there - hope you all come through it okay; it's little consolation but the current perceived wisdom is that the attack was aimed at crippling London, rather than cause massive deaths, like the Madrid bombings.

My thoughts are with you in my hometown - London

Phil

Hubby works for a comms company and they have been told that all mobile comms will be switched off....apparently they think it could be connected to a mobile phone, you phone that mobile number and it activates the device.............
