little ginger

You rant lots and read little. My post was not at everybody who had participated in it. How could it have been when some agreed with me?

Your posts show very clearly you are very angry at the medical profession.

You never explained what you meant 'by my sort' Please be kind enough to elaborate.

My profession maybe flawed but you never told us what worthy and unflawed job you do. I would genuinely be interested to know. I'm sure you'd be proud to tell us all.

Jods. I think you misuderstood my post. In retrospect I probably should'nt have made it. Not my finest hour, however someone here was basically accusing me of being the next Harold Shipman so I reacted

ps ging, please feel free to call me Deep, if not then its Dr Singh not Mr Singh

Why? My first name is clearly stated on my profile. Why call me Mr Singh or Singh? Its Deep or use the correct title. Shall I call you Mr Squares?

I'm small minded, yet the comments here display broad minded, well rounded and educated opinion right? What planet are you from then

Just my pennys worth:

Child with asthma has cough/cold etc - bit unwell - then any Dr would at least have a quick listen to his chest - assess his respiratory rate etc - just generally have a quick examination of child. Sounds like the GP did this.

Should he have prescribed an inhaler - probably - not necessarily. Should he have been pleasant - certainly - but remember - we all have bad days.

As for slagging Dr's off - why? Its a very hard job - lot of responsibility and lot of hours. Lot of money - not at all when compared to similar professions.

lots of people will verify that it is my real name on here, but you have to admit that you are asking for a lot by expecting people who dont know you to call you Dr

Dear Mr Square

Please get real and read the posts. Do a search. Do something worthwhile. When have I ever asked anybody(else) to call me Dr.? Why would I? 99.9% of my posts here are about cars, my job does'nt matter a bit

I was making a sarcy comment at someone who was attacking me personally. If you c'ant see that something is wrong

Saying that, there is nothing wrong with being accurate. 99.9% of people call me Deep, if you want to use a title then it should be Dr not Mr. I am not Mr Singh, just like you are not a Mr, Master, Rev, Lord, Sir, Rt Hon, Dame etc

But as I said you're more than welcome to call me Deep, I'd prefer it

regards

Deep

Mrs C,Its a very annoying situation you are talking about GPs.I think there are very less good GPs out there. They do work very hard and the country is facing a serious shortage of GPs but even then, they should be efficient enough to provide help, attention and care to the patient.I must admit that his prescription of changing Piriton antihaestamine to Neoclarytin was right but why he didnt prescribe inhalers (knowing your son's health history),God knows!Very idiotic!
You can put forward a complaint and change your GP.At the end of the day,we all pay enough taxes towards all sorts inc. NHS.We must be satisfied, not ignored.

It's not always the right route to prescribe lots of drugs and it helps the body's own immunity system if drugs aren't used unless absolutely necessary. It means the body works at healing itself. Drug over-usage can be damaging to the immunity process.

You could have requested an inhaler thus reminding the GP of your Son's requirements.

When you look at the costs involved for treatment you will understand that what we do pay towards the nhs doesn't equate anywhere near the final bill for our treatment.

Up until now, he's suffered from realy bad hayfever this year and it seems to be affecting his chest, he's had a lot of bouts where he's been coughing, breathless and vomiting a frothy mucus caused by the coughing bouts, so i tried to get an appointment at the doctors but there was none available until 3days, so the reception said for me to take him after surgery for an emergency appointment.
Can I ask why you didn't take him to the doctors when these bouts first occurred? I presume they didn't only start the day you got the emrgency appointment...

[QUOTE=Deep Singh]little ginger

You rant lots and read little. My post was not at everybody who had participated in it. How could it have been when some agreed with me?

Your posts show very clearly you are very angry at the medical profession. Why can't people have an opinion about Doctors? As stated previously, if you buy a TV and it doesnt work you complain, if you recieve a carp servcie from a bank, what do you do ? complain...As I and others have said.. it's peoples lives..we have a right to be angry.

You never explained what you meant 'by my sort' Please be kind enough to elaborate.. your sort ??

'As for the high and mighty who like to slag off and make (mis) diagnoses I have simply this to say to you. You fall into one of two categories

1) You were too stupid/lazy at school to be a Dr.

2) You were clever/able enough but decided to do something more lucrative and comfortable where you did'nt spend half your life in a zombie like state after working a 100 hours a week.

Either way, p1ss off '

juding by your comments, the rest of us are the lowest of the low, no matter who we are, what we do, where we come from.

My profession maybe flawed but you never told us what worthy and unflawed job you do. I would genuinely be interested to know. I'm sure you'd be proud to tell us all. Why should it matter what I do? I could be a lawyer, a dustman, a street cleaner.. but it doesnt enter into it. I'm not the one making huge statements about how great the industry is that I work in. Your situation is different..once again ( just in case your head is stuck too far up your a*se to notice) OUR LIVES IN YOUR HANDS.

Jods. I think you misuderstood my post. In retrospect I probably should'nt have made it. Not my finest hour, however someone here was basically accusing me of being the next Harold Shipman so I reacted. I think you may be reading into things - at what point did I accuse you of being the next shipman..? I believe my statement was..'People have the right to complain. If a doctor is not doing his job properly then he shouldnt be allowed to do it at all. There are exceptionally bad ROTTEN apples in the medical profession..take Shipman for an example or are you saying he was innocent?'
Don't try and twist things to put yourself in a better light. But thank you for making the comment you made - it just proved my point.. It shows just what a caring person you are, and backs ups my feelings of pity for your patients and their relatives.

ps ging, please feel free to call me Deep, if not then its Dr Singh not Mr Singh
TBH, I would prefer not to call you anything and it's Ginge... HTH.
