Andy, Oi, tiny slots my **** My system works a little too well. In fact it needs to be blocked off on cold days and in the rain, as you can feel the brakes are too cold

It's OK for the track in summer though

The fog lamp conversion looks gay anyway and probably harms wildlife in some way

Way back there was a mod for track driven 911 in the 70's.
The ducting was led from the front spot lamp holes to the centre of the ventillated disc by a very neat collector where the round body of the collector went almost 360 deg around the exposed vanes of the disc centre itself and was fed by a welded tube linking the ducting.
I'll post a pic if i can tonight.
Early 911's had 4 wheel discs, no power servo and a 140 mph 1 tonne car to stop (remember it is 1973). you had to press bloody hard to stop (mine still has this set-up).
Graham.

Gutmann,

I was quite unimpressed with the power of the brembo's on my '02 STi. I tried a change of pad to Pagid RD-15's and never had a problem since.

Car quite easily stops from triple figures to 30-40mph no problems, time and time again.

No additional cooling needed.

STiMan.

Pics of the 911 cooling system off the Le Mans cars of the 70's:

Hope these are of interest.

Hehe, ok. Am still going to go for the foglamp conversion once I find some purple scoops and ducting to match my gay purple coilovers

Demon tweeks racing section looks to have some useful ducting bits and bobs, and temperature measurement strips to stick on the calipers. Wish I had some of those temp strips when I ran 2-pots at Brands, when it was smoking the redstuff pads after each session!

Andy
